Re: A windmill and five more shops/houses

(...) Yes. The week and weekend before a (URL) are always busy. My wife hates those weeks. (...) Thanks. There is something about the (URL) 3rd "other" building>, in person it has the cutest feel to it. Between the size and color scheme. (...) I (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: A windmill and five more shops/houses

Man, that is a busy weekend! I think my favorites are the four "other" buildings :) I really like how the first two have interesting shapes to them. I think all the color schemes are very nice. The last two are just plain great simple little (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

A windmill and five more shops/houses

As I alluded to in other posts, I had a busy weekend. Built 6 new buildings. A Windmill (2 URLs) A unfurnished building with seperate upstairs apartment (2 URLs) And four other buildings, each with their own unique details (5 URLs) Enjoy, comment, (...)   MichLUG to display at the Motor City Comic Con - Castle & Space - May 14-16

MichLUG has been invited to display at the Motor City Comic Con for a third time now. We will have a Moonbase layout with 10 regular sized modules and 4 super sized modules. Along with a monorail, many lading pads and ships galore there will be 75 (...)   Re: Boarding House

(...) Thanks James. I am probably going to give the "one building over another" a try again, once I get some more parts in. (I build 6 more buildings this weekend and I am seriously running low on certain parts)(1). I've done ½ stud inset on town (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Inn

(...) Tight. One thing I can say with confidence here: tudor buildindgs will never go out of style. Now your nice model just makes me wonder if I can find those same windows/lattices for a reasonable price. Last ones I saw were for 2 bucks each on (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Inn

(...) Thanks Jason! Yeah, I do seem to be stuck on white lattice panes and 5 wide windows. I at least tried something different on the carpenter ( (URL) ) a while back ;) James (20 years ago, 8-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Boarding House

(...) Hey Jason, The boarding house is really cool. It was a great idea to build one building over another and it turned out well. I like how some of the windows are set in half a stud. I really like the odd shape of the building as well. It gives (...) (20 years ago, 8-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Cook's home

(...) Hi Bruce, This a cool house! You did a great job on your exterior texture. The interior is fabulous. The rafters are a great touch and all the other little details are really cool. The only change I might make that hasn't been mentioned here (...) (20 years ago, 8-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) Tim, that larger item is his army. It looks bad when your troops are supposed to look the same but a percentage of them are stuck with different-looking equipment. Imagine a formation of 50 Marines with 5 of them wearing the new pixelated (...) (20 years ago, 8-May-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Cook's home

(...) Thanks. I agree on the overhang. I'll have to do that differently in future buildings. (...) Unfortunately no. Job/family/etc. conspire to prevent me from attending fests. I'm usually doing good if I can attend a weekend LUG meeting. (...) (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Cook's home

(...) Thanks. (...) It's mainly a screw-up. I originally built this fairly quickly because I had to get it mailed to Lenny for Brickfest PDX, and when I was building it I couldn't find my 1x6x2 arches. I had to go with the 1x6x1 arch, and if you put (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Boarding House

(...) Thanks. Interesting that you mention the Weasley's home. Personally I had pictured theirs as more ramshackle and precarious looking. Now I want to work on more houses with "add-ons". Jason Spears | (URL) BrickCentral> | (URL) MichLUG> (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) I don't really understand your thinking here. As far as I can see all the parts you list are standalone parts so you don't really get the problem of (for example) something that is supposed to be painted all one colour being mottled (doesn't (...)   Re: Boarding House

Hey Jason, Fun MOC. To me this looks like my image of the Weasley family home from the Harry Potter book. Bruce (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Request for Feedback - focused thread

(...) Hi Jake, First I'd like to say thanks for giving us this opportunity I'll start with 2 general points: 1. Yellow faces. If TLC want to make pinky seasick minifig faces thats fine with us as long as they won't kill the old "normal" Yellow (...)   Boarding House

The boarding house needed more space, so after getting approval from the neighboring tailor, they started making additions. Right over the tailor's place.   Re: Cook's home

(...) I really the rafters and that big window. I think the roof would look better with a little overhang on the sides. And I concur with Jason Spear's remarks about the 1x1s facing outwards and the low arch. Are you coming to Brickfest this summer? (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
