Re: The Elephant Shop and a few other MMs

Hi, (...) Your help is appreciated. As always :-) Thanks again and God Bless, Nathan Brickshelf Gallery: (URL) (21 years ago, 25-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

(...) Keith, Thanks! Hmm I could make a Juma, but I'd need a minifig of color, I should get some NBA sets. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

(...) Ryan, Thanks! I like the boat, though a bigger dragon boat is stumping me, I've seen a few MOCs that I may revisit for inspiration. Hmm, erosion, ahh, when the northmen get tired of drinking, they fix up the tower! No, really, that's a good (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

(...) Great idea for a moc! I was particularly intrigued by the small boat with the wing for a sail. Thought the tower could be a little more irregular in shape or show damage from erosion. This diorama nicely sets the mood and location of the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) Very nice. I had no problem on a 56K modem, calling from (cough) southern Africa. Now, if *that* doesn't show up problems, nothing will. It took a bit to load, so maybe an indicator of some kind on the screen (loading...please wait) might help (...)   Re: The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

(...) Cool moc George. As others have said, the dock is very well exceuted and draws the eye with detail. I like the simplicity of the tower, it looks quite believable. Again, well done. If some of your inspiration was the Conan novels, where is (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Treebeard from Lord Of The Rings!

Hey, pretty nice. I like the use of palm trees as arms. The landscape he's standing on is nice, too. You might want to re-upload the jpgs to Brickshelf to see if that would fix the thumbnails.   Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) Hey Jeff, The site looks great, well designed and easy to use. I am on a phone modem and it does take a while to load, but it's worth the wait!   Re: The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

(...) Jojo, Thank you, I tried to stick to dark grey for the rocks the tower is built on, and lighter grey on top, but some of those BURPS are hard to work with. I will keep the fog idea in mind, I expect to have many foggy MOCs. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

(...) Alan, Thanks, I am going for a Norse feel, though my dialogue comes mostly from reading Conan. I should look for Farfarers, thanks, George (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Official Website Is Launched!

(...) Generally sales sites that use Flash offer an HTML-only alternative. And though I have a good connection with all the fixins, I still click that one. Flash is just that—flash. Nonetheless, I like the design of the site (save the pop-up). And I (...) Jeff apparently doesn't know (or doesn't care, but I suspect the former) about conventions here, but the original post, in my view, was appropriate for somewhere in the market.* hierarchy **only**... perhaps market.buy-sell-trade? SPENCER - The handles are round. Look at some of the "detailed" pics. Sales?, unlikely. When I reach LEGO-like status, maybe. Those of you complaining about the pop-up index - Humor me for roughly 30 sec. Imagine you're clicking a button on some (...)   Re: Official Website Is Launched!

In principle I agree with Richard. Why have a portal page that doesn't contain any info except a link to the catalog? I was also forced to change my pop up blocker settings for your page, which I don't like to do. Can you show the catalog in the (...)   Re: Advice for lego Purchase

I agree with David. As long as you don't mind the large castle wall pieces, go for the triple pack. This is an outstanding deal with lots of variety and very few unusable pieces. If you would rather have just bricks, compete with the rest of us on (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Advice for lego Purchase

LEGO Shop at Home also has that triple pack that consists of the new Black Falcon's Fortress, Dan Siskind's Blacksmith Shop and the 10000 Guarded Inn legend for $89 when you buy the 3 together. It's hard to beat that deal. (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
