Re: we need some "pod" rivals

Re: Loyal to .castle? [ROLL CALL]

My fellow .castle members, i personaly do not plan on leaving nor do i plan on losing interest in castle themes, for a few good reasons. mainly one actually, my entire lego set is 90% castle, i plan to stay a castle theme person for a very long (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: we need some "pod" rivals

One word - "marketplace"! The market place was the center of the medevil town. Now we castle builders need to become merchantmen instead of army generals. A market stand is built onto a "plot" - say 15x15. The "plot" may either have 1 corner or no (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Loyal to .castle? [ROLL CALL]

Hey everyone! A fellow .castle follower in a previous post suggested that .castle is losing members because our lack of activity. Other groups are getting stronger because they have group projects (POD's, Moonbase, Train Layouts) and they have lots (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: we need some "pod" rivals

(...) Probably due to the fact that sets like Star Wars, etc are so prolific in the market right now, and it takes a lot of patience to build a good sized castle creation, not to mention all of the intricity involved. Not to say that space isn't (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: we need some "pod" rivals

oh I Know! the problem is just about all castle creations are large ones, with the exception of sigfigs, which aren't that interesting on a large scale. I mean, think about it: the Blacksmith Shop, 3739, is a SMALL castle creation and it has 600 (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The Epic Chronicles of Ikros

Hey Nathan, This is a little weird for me, recieving criticism for my criticism. To a certain degree I think you are telling me I am wrong about some of the advice I gave; that problems as I described them don't exist. It makes me feel as if I (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  we need some "pod" rivals

I've read a thousand posts in .space about a new pod-ship somebody built. It's really making the quanity of posts castle vs space lopsided. We need something to build here to compete. Anybody got some ideas? Horse-drawn carriges? Maybe a vessel (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: My village MOCs

Josh, I like what I see so far. How about posting a picture of all the buildings laid out in the "village" format? The whole is greater than the sum of its parts :) ... or did I miss it? -- Pawel (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Bakers Shop MOC

Very Nice. Bakers shop is original (can't remeber seeing one in Castle before). Anyway, I like it, complete with your usual detailed (not cluttered) interior. God Bless, Nathan (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Fellowship of the Rings movie poster

Hi Bruce, go away for a few weeks and look what I miss. It's great, obviosly a lot of work went into it. But the coolest bit is when I zoomed in to see better, it didn't loose any quality or very little. How did you do that? Brilliant Job, God (...)   Re: My village MOCs

Thanks Yaron! The guardhouse was a quick little MOC that I did one night when I HAD to build something castle before I went to bed. Luckily my wife understands my Lego craze. Oh yeah, I plan to fix my small picture problem soon. Josh (...) (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: My village MOCs

(...) Thanks Lenny! I appreciate your comments. I agree with the weaver's hut. It sort of grew out a number of things and never really worked. I was trying to build something different with those tudor pieces and didn't do so well. I didn't use all (...) (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: My village MOCs

(...) Thanks Hendo! I was very happy with the hut. I need to rebuild it with a good interior however. The unfortunate peasant woman has no furniture! Josh (22 years ago, 16-Oct-02, to lugnet.castle)
