(...) Thanks for the tips... I used LDView to conver, and got a render that's much closer to the original. However I've got one niggling difference that's bugging me. The transparent colors seem "lighter" somehow, meaning that the interiors of (...) (13 years ago, 5-Jun-11, to lugnet.cad.ray)

i'm prepare to die for this :) because my frind is going to bet his... life thinking the raytrace will look much much worse i would bet it will look similar in fact comparable if the program can raytrace well :) so the goal is to render the same (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

thanx very much jennifer if this scene is rendered with the same settings then the quality of rs is much much better than rt so i have to say sorry to my friend who was right i thought they will be comparable but what about the focal blur in rt (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Hi all, I found this nice model of a pelican on Brickshelf and found it so cute, I made in LDraw and rendered a picture. The original model is done by a BS user called Toshiya (9765). (...) I'm using 3.7 beta at the moment, because it renders considerably faster on my quad core. But the result is the same in 3.6. Thanks for that link, It makes the T parameter a bit more clear.   Do I use Dat2AutoCAD or is there a better way?
 
For a project I am working on, I need a picture of a datapad (which I posted to .models) with text displayed on its screen (and I don't mean a perfect front view). (...) I grabbed those files. I started it again with radio-3.inc and only a couple of my original lights. The radio file seems to include an ambient light setting, but by itself this still seemed a bit dark. I also commented out the line that (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  L3pao/Lgeo problems
 
- When render a model including Technic liftarms 1x11.5 double bent using Lgeo parts, 2 additionnal holes are generated (see (URL) left half is rendered with lgeo, right half without) - And I have a problem with Lgeo path too: while L3pao correctly (...) Okay, I'm not quite sure what you mean, so I'll just tell you what to do to fix the problem. In the 'Command Line' type: "+KFI1 +KFF4 +KI1 +KF4". Somewhere in the .pov file type: "#if (clock == 1) camera{...} #end #if (clock == 2) camera{...} #end (...) (20 years ago, 31-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

I believe you are currently out of luck. The way radiosity is currently set up in POV-Ray 3.5, multiple passes are required. That may or may not change in future versions, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I have a 450 MHz so I understand your (...) (22 years ago, 28-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Hi all, I updated the radiosity files today. The sysem is somewhat simpler: the files are called radio_0.inc (no radiosity), radio_1.inc (simple radiosity), radio_2.inc (medium quality) and radio_3.inc (high quality). Hello, I've been using ML-Cad, L3P, L3PAO, and Pov Ray for a while now, and I've been wondering what the best way is to render minifig heads and/or helmets. I've seen some beautiful renderings out there, with wonderful ROUND heads, but I haven't (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)
