Thanks Trev! BTW1 what do you think of the failed Carrier? (URL) hoping someone finds it useful, in terms of ideas... BTW2 did you really think I'd leave you outta the links? ;-) (...) it: (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: *BIG* Update!

Thanks Geordan! The Carrier was meant to fail (actually I destroyed it in a fit of rage). ;-) BTW forgot to add you to my links, shoot dang! ;-) Will do, right away. (...) bricks! (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Marsupial Carriers (Was: Re: *BIG* Update!)

(...) I've got to agree with Geordan. I wish you'd kept at that carrier concept--the "traditional" carrier, while still cool, has been done a lot and a carrier that holds its "children" on its frame--I've called them "marsupial carriers", because (...)   Re: Marsupial Carriers (Was: Re: *BIG* Update!)

(...) Dangit, now I'm going to have to go build one o' them there marsupial carriers. I've toyed with the idea before, because I have the Gundam Double X/ G Falcon model kit. I uploaded a few pics here: (URL) paint scheme is of my own choosing. the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: Marsupial Carriers (Was: Re: *BIG* Update!)

Wow, thanks for the kind response Linsay! Actually, I was going to leave it open-frame. Two problems with it: 1) Too ungainly, couldn't even hold it properly 2) Not too cool looking 3) How am I to do the back (I actually wanted to put a *huge* tail (...)   Re: *BIG* Update!

  Re: *BIG* Update!

(...) Really?! I loved the rail too, but the cockpit doesn't seem to fit at all. I geuss it depends on how you look at it, and what you're looking from, ie, the master/creator (you) and the apprentice/awe struck wanna-be (me). The rest looked (...) (...) shape of the little fighters too. The use of the wedge slopes on 3 sides is really neat. I can just imagine this thing spewing fighters out all over the place. :^) More pics, please!!!! ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: Marsupial Carriers (Was: Re: *BIG* Update!)

(...) Paul, Wow, that's so elegant. Do you have any closeups of the fighters? Do the fighter pilots stay in their fighters the whole time, is there a way for them to access the mothership? Thanks, George (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)
