Solved it! I was still running WMP 6.4 on W2K, downloaded WMP 7.1 and now the codec works. Not sure why The Playa couldn't handle it though. Dan (23 years ago, 23-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)

Hello! Talking of animations: I did this movie a long time ago with POVRay. Its like 50 MB uncompressed. I used DivX to compress is and it is less then one megabyte now. So please take a look at it. Maybe one time i will let it re-render in a higher (...) (23 years ago, 22-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) In general, improved results for any rendering are accomplished by editing the POV file. Each LDRAW part gets converted to a POV 'object' when you run L3P. Hi all, I made some files and converted them in L3P with the -q3 and -lgeo switches. I put all the LGEO .INC files in the Include folder and when I want to render I get this error message in 2 of the 3 files: // Train Window 1 x 2 x 3 lg_4035 (...) I'm still enough of a novice to not know how to do that. Is it something you do in the .dat file stage? Do in the .pov file? I seem to lear the best by example, so if you know of someone who has posted a file which demonstrates this, I'd like to (...) (23 years ago, 21-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Hello, I've been using ML-Cad, L3P, L3PAO, and Pov Ray for a while now, and I've been wondering what the best way is to render minifig heads and/or helmets. I've seen some beautiful renderings out there, with wonderful ROUND heads, but I haven't (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Well... I know it's been a while... Anyway, it seems that you guys picked up on it and now the answer is easy 'cause -sc "#if (clock > n)" has been added to L3PAO. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. However I'm having trouble with telling POV-Win to (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

I reinstalled L3P and Pov-Ray and most everything is back to normal. I can actually render a .pov file now. However, it is rendering in a *very* small window. Previously, the renderings took up the entire screen. How can I change this? -Kyle (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)
