(...) Try checking the "Don't allow relative snap" option in the preferences dialog, it should make things work like in the previous version. It searches for subparts relative to the part location ../p/, ../parts/, ../parts/s/. What are the official and unofficial folders called? (...) Here's the weird thing. I had the subpart in both the main ldrawpartss folder and also the unofficial folder. But I only had the main file in the official folder. Once I put it in the unofficial folder it magically began working. :) I have a (...) (20 years ago, 31-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.leocad, FTX)

Clearly you are missing the subpart (URL) Are you really sure that you put it in your ldrawpartss folder? or maybe you have several ldraw folders and somehow LeoCAD don't get the subpart from the right folder? Hmm, for me that trick worked. When I check the 'fixed direction keys' option everything works exactly like in the previous versions of Leocad. Sorry, I have no idea what to do now. (20 years ago, 25-May-06, to lugnet.cad.leocad)
