Re: LDD 2.0 immedeately locks up

Re: LDD 2.0 immedeately locks up

(...) Here's my me too post. I have the same issue on my P4 2.26GHz w/ ATI Radeon 8500 card. I had issues running earlier versions of 1.x on that hardware as well, but 1.6 runs okay.   LDD 2.0 immedeately locks up

I start LDD 2.0 & it opens to a selection of pre-built models, free play, etc. Selecting any of these slows the computer to almost a dead halt.   Need LDD 2.0 Help from the Experts on Making Instructions

How do you control building instruction steps with LDD 2.0? It doesn't seem to preserve them when you upgrade 1.6 models or import LDraw models. I assume there must be a way because the 10183 hobby train models have organized instructions. Does (...) (17 years ago, 27-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: LDD questions

(...) I remember searching for that in 1.6... how frustrating! Try to hit the arrow on your keyboard when placing the brick (it should not just be selected, but be ready to place (moving with your pointer thus) Hope it helps, Jean-Marc (17 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  LDD questions

1. How do you rotate a brick in LDD? - it does't mention it in the help - I must be stupid! 2. When I export to Ldraw I just get the 1st 2 lines, the other export formats look OK? Thanks, David (17 years ago, 25-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

Conversion file for ldraw to ldd

Hi all, I've converted the old conversion file from LDD 1.6 (with Jason Railton's adaptions) to LDD 2.0 format. It is far from perfect but is also far better than what is currently available. To install it just quit LDD 2, go to (...) (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) On the plus side, it does seem to run on older hardware. I could only run 1.6 on my wife's laptop which she bought last year. Last night, I was able to install and run 2.0 on my 5+ year old machine. -Elroy (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd)

  Re: 10183 postponed?

(...) Unfortunately, LDD 2.0 no longer runs on earlier versions of Windows. LDD 1.6 ran quite happily under Windows 2000, but the new version crashes as soon as you place a brick. It's also a bit mean to write off all the previously uploaded models. (...) (18 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.ldd, lugnet.trains)
