Good point.

Sounds good. So where would this list be stored? Would it be stored on
Lugnet and linked to by the newsgroup resources? Would it be stored on
ldraw.org and linked to by the OMR itself? I think the more appropriate
place is Lugnet, since it is directly associated with the _newsgroup_ itself.
There could be a marker by each news article which contains DAT content
which indicates if it is approved and in the OMR or not. It could be
something like a red-yellow-green system:
Red - Not approved
Yellow - Approved but not yet in OMR
Green - Approved and available in OMR (then link to OMR entry...)
But a simple little icon next to the article would help out people who surf by.

It sounds good. It has just the right amount of gunk to be acceptable ;)

I'd rather steer away from .cad.dat.models.sets to keep it separate. That
is unless .sets' charter changes to be for the OMR and posts to there fall
under the license doohickie. Because if .sets remained a place to just
post sets and we merged the OMR in there we'd have to filter through posts
that are not about the OMR and have to develop a standard OMR subject
header too.
If .cad.dat.omr is created, we could go
CAD / DAT Files / ldraw.org Official Model Repository /
which isn't playing with *as much* fire as just Official Model
Repository. But OMR is too vague, unless it explains the Official Model
Repository in the sidebar below the header.
BTW - suggestion: With the newsgroups by mail feature, could you shorten
the email addresses and get rid of the word 'lugnet.' in the front of
them? It would conveniently shorten the email addresses of some of the
longer groups, like this one. The @lugnet.com in the address should (IMO)
be enough to identify it as a Lugnet group.
