As we get nearer to the election, I wanted to post my thoughts on what I think the steering committee should look like. We're electing the SC to lead the LDraw organization. (...) Yes. Unfortunately, the acronym can cause confusion. We should fix that by clearly defining acronyms for each. There is the LDraw.org Standards Committee (LSC) - elected last July and charged with adopting standards and publishing spec (...) (20 years ago, 27-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

I agree that the library license is important, and I have stated(1) that it's going to be a primary focus of mine to get a good license structure in place for *all* the components that go into making up the LDraw System. Although that I haven't contributed to the creation of elements in the parts lib or developed any tools that have seen the light of day, I have certainly used them! And from a "power user" point of view it is imperative that new tools development is (...) (20 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX) !
