I'll give it a twirl!! No more DXF's!!! I use 3DS MAX, but have Polytrans, so conversions from LWO to MAX is a snap.   New Converter from LDraw To Lightwave
 
Hello, a new converter exists since a few days. It can convert LDraw Objects (*.DAT) into Lightwave Objects (*.lwo) and Lightwave Scene Files (*.lws) (compatible with Version 5.5, 5.6, 6.x); running under Win 95 / 98 / NT / 2000. I have separate directories in which I store models. example: /models /mine /fire /space /others /Tim Courtney /Terry Keller /TLG /s1234 /s2345 This is basically how I do it. (...) If you've got the files stuffed into an MPD, there's no real need to keep separate copies of them. I do it anyway, but I'm weird. If a file is truly junk, I'll delete it. When making official models (and unofficial models for that matter), there are minifigs, submodels, and sub assemblies to deal with. This is the *third* day I have been trying to access "www.ldraw.org" without success. I have *yet* to receive a response from a human being at Media One. No phone calls, no email (other than the original email from some anonymous techie at Media One (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

OK, since I was visiting my parents tonight anyway, I decided to run this traceroute at their place over their connection, since I could *not* access LDraw.ORG from their computer *either*. :-P This is what I got: (...)
