  Re: Mac Brick CAD (MBC)

(...) Andrew, Thanks, I am downloading it as I type. It is almost time for finals here at Westfield State College, so I woon't be able to play much. However, when grades are done I'll get out my poking stick. Thanks, Chris (22 years ago, 2-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

(...) Cool! (...) This didn't work correctly for me. The rotation axis didn't display when I held down the option key, and drag the mouse and the part doesn't update as it rotates. When I redraw the model (by moving it somehow), the part all of a (...) (22 years ago, 2-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

(...) Fantastic! I look forward to giving you my thoughts on this as I begin using it. Expect commentary in the coming weeks as I find time to work with something that's been a LONG time in coming. Thanks! -Dave (22 years ago, 2-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Mac Brick CAD (MBC)

(...) You have a Mac with 8 MB of VRAM and you are running at 1024x768 or higher, yes? To get the the rotation to work correctly, switch to 800x600 launch MBC (set that to music and Andrew might get a different set of lawyers knocking on his door:) (...) (...) OK, questions from a *rank* novice at this stuff - ie, somebody who shouldn't even remotely be involved in an alpha release, but... Why do many of the parts of the models not show up (for instance, I have many bushings hanging in mid-space (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Mac Brick CAD (MBC)

(...) MBC doesn't know where your LDRAW directory is, so you are only seeing the parts that are internal to MBC. Get the LDRAW directory like James said, then throw away all of your preference files that have anything to do with LDRAWing (...) (22 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Mac Brick CAD (MBC)

Brain, (...) It depends on how adventureous you are - actually this software is pretty benign, so Alpha means I still have loose ends to tie up but most of the core stuff is in place. (...) Parts not showing up! James has already answered this, but (...) (22 years ago, 23-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Mac Brick CAD (MBC)

(...) Just had to comment - do you have any idea how common that transposition is? Sigh... <grin>. (...) Thank you and the other posters here - yes, trashing the prefs solved the problem, and I can now start learning the ins and outs of modeling. (...) (22 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Mac Brick CAD (MBC)

(...) Hehe, where is Pinky? ((URL) Now, of course, I have to figure out what are bugs in the parts file, what (...) Most of them are program issues. If you covert a model with L3P and render it with POV-Ray, all of that will disappear. (...) I see (...) (22 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
