  Re: Online Mac instructions.

(...) Yeah, but it is the ONLY editor we Mac users have. So it is the best and most popular Mac ldraw app. I know what you mean, you don't want us to think that it is the ultimate. It is just that we can't even put up a "getting started" page if (...) (24 years ago, 28-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Part files?

(...) I suspect it's probably because the linux files use lowercase filenames. In the notes Andrew mentions that it's important to use uppercase folder names for the OS 8-9 version of ldglite. (URL) not sure why, but I think the old MAC parts (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Part files?

I figured we need a parts file that will work with the 3 different apps: BrickDraw3D, ldglite (os 8-9), and ldglite (os x). I got the linux parts to work with ldglite (os x), so I figured I would test those with BrickDraw3D and ldglite (os 8-9). (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Online Mac instructions.

(...) I'd consider ldglite more of an UNpopular FIRST generation editor. If you use the linux parts, you'll have to tell how to unzip and untar them on OS 8 and 9. (and probably on OSX as well) I think the ldlite instructions only cover the command (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

(...) Since this is the dev group, I'll go ahead and post the non-public URL here. DISCLAIMER: This page is NOT COMPLETE and you may encounter difficulty using it to set up LDraw on the Mac. We're not responsible if you screw something up ;-) (URL) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Online Mac instructions.

OK, so I have made a preliminary getting started page. I basically took the Windows page and changed the names, commented out the images, and sent it to Tim. What it needs: - Images for ldglite and BrickDraw3D, 150x134 (see the Windows getting (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Mac .ldr to POV (was: Online Mac instructions.)

In January Lars told me that he wants to finish porting L3P to linux first, and then he will focus on the Mac. I offered to help, but he wants to control the code and he has a friend who is a Mac programmer who will help him. I don't see why this (...)   Re: Mac .ldr to POV (was: Online Mac instructions.)

(...) Export to other formats is something I want to do in BrickDraw3D someday. (24 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.ray)

Mac .ldr to POV (was: Online Mac instructions.)

(...) Another thing you folks still need (aside from documentation and a 2nd generation tool like brickdraw3D) is a bridge from .ldr files to POV. Perhaps someone can persuade Lars to make l3p available on MacOS. Or maybe you can take the lead and (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.ray)
