Re: Call for Nominations to LDraw.org Steering Committee

(...) Hi Willy, hi René, after a month I found out that I you nominated me as a candidate for the LSC. In the moment I have to decline this nomination. I'm not able to do the job of a committee member. But thank's for the faith in me. CU Bernd (21 years ago, 9-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Licenses... some background

Longtime fans of the LDraw format and the LDraw system of tools know that this current discussion around licensing is by far NOT the first time the topic came up. The discussion is currently sort of disjointed in my personal view (and that of (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw) !

  Re: New LDraw contest?

(...) Because of the complex nature of creating animations, the contest may want to allow contestants and/or winners to share details about their creation process. This could also be tied to tutorials hosted on LDraw.org, and be used to encourage (...) (21 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Quarterly would be okay, but i think bi-annual is more realistic. Most animations are still "infant" in nature, with the exception of one or two indiviudals that have learned to harnest the power of POV-Ray animation. -AHui A&M LWorks (URL) (21 years ago, 18-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Great stuff Jim, where possible I'll answer interspersed with your comments (...) I've noticed this too on some bricks. It has to do with the fact that some parts use negative scaling when drawing some primitives. Both OpenGL and LDRAW can handle (...) (21 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  LDraw.org Ad-Hoc Organizing Committee - Wrap-Up and Thank You

The LDraw.org Ad-Hoc Organizing Committee (4+1) would like to take the time to publicly wrap up its duties as the provisional authority for LDraw.org with a few words. First, a big thank-you to everyone who helped in the organizing process. We thank (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.org, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)
