Re: old parts and getting officialized

(...) Hmm. I'm pretty sure those parts have not been looked at. (...) Email me at parts@ldraw.org. Tell me what you want your parts tracker userid and password to be. I'll get it set up. (...) Drat! Steve (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Problems submitting upadeted versions of official parts?

How do I go about submitting upadted versions of officail parts? I have sent a few to parts@ldraw.org, but have yet to see any of them appear on the tracker. Maybe they should have several people in charge of looking over parts submitted to this (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I am sure there is nothing personal so there must be a way back to a friendly cooperative work. The Part Tracker would have no (...) (22 years ago, 25-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Problems submitting upadeted versions of official parts?

(...) Hi Mark, Do NOT attempt to directly submit updated parts using your userid! Do NOT change part number to force submission! This would result in more work for the administrator. May be he would resent you. Do not press him. Nothing urgent. Be (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: rebuttal...

Since I was appealed to in Franklin's email and post, I am adding my comments in reply to some of the posts here. Steve knows this, but it might not be public knowledge -- I do not get involved in the trenches when it comes to parts. Steve has (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  RE: Parts and Pattern

(...) I think 2D is enough: when you apply the sticker, just offset it by e.g. 0.1 LDU (or even less) and it won't float noticeable. And stickers should be modeled using linetype 3 and 4 only. /Lars (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [Parts Tracker] Re-numbering "Star Wars" patterns...

(...) Yes, but there is an acceptable alternative naming convention for patterned subparts (see How are subparts numbered? in (URL) ---> s\3626baS9 s\3626bpS9b ---> s\3626bbS9 etc. Chris (22 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Why Type 5 Lines?
