Re: LDraw to QuickTime was Re: Usefull little feature

I added transparency. You can see how it comes out rendered on a RAGE II+ (my original G3/233 or anything newer.) I took some pictures of 3823.dat (2x4x2 windscreen). And I accidentally made a 30% translucent Car.. the one you were complaining the (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Oops, I hit tab key and it posted the message before I was finished. Lets try again. Cool! I found a sucker (er, um, I mean a beta tester). My first guess is it's having trouble finding the LDRAW path. That'll give you a white screen for sure. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Plz help! - type "5" line in LDraw  [DAT]

In spite of the recent posts re: Type "5" Lines in LEdit/LDraw, I'm still confused as to how to use these conditional lines. To help illustrate my (probably flawed) understanding, I'll be referencing the enclosed DAT file (an unofficial primitive (...) (25 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Hi Richard Nowadays, the four- or five-digit part numbers are moulded somewhere on the larger parts, but be sure not to confuse these with mould reference numbers which usually comprise a one-digit and a two-digit separated by a space or a (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Looking for James Jessiman Photo

I am seeking a picture of James Jessiman for the ldraw.org website. I did not know one existed until Papp Imre emailed me yesterday claiming he had seen one on a website somewhere. He suggested James' site, but I couldn't find any there. My best bet (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.people)

  The parts tracker

I am thinking about setting up a new parts tracker (since the old one is gone). I will also create a matching sets tracker for posting of info on which TLG sets have been modeled. Sets will dissapear off the tracker after they are in the OMR. Both (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: What would you want in a new LEGO(R) CAD System?

(...) I agree with Tore here. There is a trememdous amount of parts out for LDraw now and the .dat file format is unquestionably the most popular system for creating virtual Lego models on the internet. I would be against developing a new system (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Are these parts in ldraw?

I am unsure whether these are the same as the arm piece with pin and x fingers. Can someone confirm this and alo point me to the third item? (URL) Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 24-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Waycool! I'm wicked excited to try out anything LDraw-related for Linux. I almost got it working, but not quite. :-( It seems to be running and thinking real hard, but all it displays is a blank white window. Notes: * System is PII333 / RHL6.1 (...) (...) Cool! That is my long term goal with LDraw-mode, too. I'm hoping to be able to make Emacs/LDraw-mode communicate (over X?) with some CAD system. That will give me the power and flexibility of Emacs combined with the joy of the LDraw format. (...) (25 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  getting started making pieces

A naive question perhaps, but I can't find the answer anywhere... I want to try my hand at making parts for ldraw, specifically I want to make minifig faces and torsos that haven't been done yet.   Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM
