I don't know.  Sounds to me more like a gimmick than something useful.
I wouldn't implement it unless it strikes you as something really fun
to try.

I think rigging CldliteApp::InitInstance() to be able to render offscreen
without a window would be much more useful.  It looks a bit harder than
I thought because it's not just about about replacing the window with a
bitmap.  That's the easy part.  You also have to unravel the maze of
messages used by an MFC app to initialize, open, and then draw the
document.  Yuck!

Your help is always appreciated Don! I just tried out LDLite v2.4, and it looks OK too, as do the BMP files Larry sent me. I think it is a problem with aliasing. Which reminds me, I was going to add a dithering-expander option, so that trans-colors (...) (21 years ago, 1-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)
