  MPD Parts? (and a confession)

Okay, so it is easy to display an MPD file, but what do people think about allowing part files to be MPDs? This would allow making the sub-parts that are related to a part to be packaged with the part. The trick is how to determine what file an MPD (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDlite "Black" not really Black...

(...) Even if I was doing a "true black" background, I'd probably still want my black lego parts in a slightly off-black color. So maybe the -B option could accept an RGB value? Steve (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Picayune request for LDLite

(...) I second Steve's request for a good way to see _all_ the type 5 lines. A _feature_ in LDraw is convenient in this respect - you can change the 5s to 2s and LDraw willl ignore the spurious data at the end of the line. I think LDLite ignores (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LDlite "Black" not really Black...

(...) Good point Karim. I noticed that as well. -- Terry K -- (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  LDlite "Black" not really Black...

I noticed that In LDlite, "black" is not really black... it is not quite R:0;G:0;B:0. I know that that works well for lego parts, but it would be nice if it would render true black when you select black for the background color. --Karim (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Picayune request for LDLite

I'd like to have more colors available in the Background Color and Default Piece Color drop-downs. Or the ability to type in different color codes. While editing parts, it is useful to set the part-color to a transparent value -- it makes it much (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) You have a good point there. I never really considered that, but it makes sense. (...) Right. I agree. However, the memorial navigation in my opinion is lacking, but the graphics are quick to load which is a plus. (...) Yep.. Well, I hope that (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ldraw part update?

(...) The boat is one. There are a few others. The good news is that the majority of the pieces will be released soon - tomorrow or Thursday. And that includes the spear. :-) Been working on it all evening - good thing this was a sucky night for (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ldraw part update?

(...) That's on me. Sorry. Yes, it needs to be released soon. But there are a few issues that need to be resolved prior to a full release. It is possible that I will go ahead and release a partial update, and hold the few pieces that are causing (...) (26 years ago, 24-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  ldraw part update?

i remember seeing the voting last month.. is there an approximate date when the new parts will come out? ..joseph g (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ldraw.org

(...) I'm just speaking for myself, but I think that this is because people would rather see a site now with content than an professional-looking one later that is easy to navigate. In other words, there are few reasons to give over the James (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ldraw.org

(...) It is a work in progress, but a couple things need to happen first. I still need to iron out kinks in the Lego Maniac's Webring site and make it public before starting work on the new ldraw.org site. Also, I want to take my time on this and (...) (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

dod anything ever come off about the possible creation of ldraw.org? is it work in progress or has the idea been abandoned? (26 years ago, 23-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: part naming ideas

(...) That's not a bad idea. Maybe if we defined that as a 'miscellaneous accessory' category, and had other, more specific sub-categories, like "Minifig Tool" and "Minifig Weapon". But is a speargun a weapon, or a tool? Steve (26 years ago, 22-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: MPD Question...

(...) I *suppose* it should not rely on it. But it would be a good first indicator. Steve (26 years ago, 22-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: MPD Question...

LDLite currently does not rely on the filename for anything. But if it could use the extension to tell .dat and .mpd files apart, that would help. Should it? -gyug (...) (26 years ago, 21-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
