I like the fact that I can go to options and change the view and scale. But
LDLite still needs a STOP button.  If I start up a large model, and the view

process - rather than close the window entirely, or wait for it finish.
Perhaps a nice little red octagon on the menu bar?

i second that... a stop feature would also help when using the -T option...
some models won't let me close the LDLite window while rotating.. i have to go
into Task Manager to get LDLite to stop...

Oh, Yes!  I'd love a stop button.

While we are making suggestions, I have a really wild one:

Backwards Redraw.

There are, I'm sure, technical difficulties involved in this, but it would be
soooo nice if implemented well.  Basically, I see this reversing the order of the
DAT file in memory before rendering... That way, if one is working on the
positioning of a single piece that relates to one or two pieces under it (usually
the case) one doesn't have to wait for the whole model to redraw before knowing if
the alignment is correct... The last piece in the dat file (usually the current
one) is rendered first, with the most recently placed pieces next, and so on.

If this were a toggle ("Redraw Order") that could be triggered with a keystroke,
it would make modeling large, complex models much more efficient.  As Fast as
LDLite is, it is still very aggrivating to wait for a 200+ piece model to refresh
just to position one piece.

OK: Stop button is officially on the TODO list. A backwards redraw would be nice, but I don't see an easy way to handle it in the code. The LDAO modeler can be useful here: you can set it up to only draw lines that are highlighted in the editor, or (...) (26 years ago, 16-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
