(...) Actually, you've mentioned off-handedly something that's been bugging me for a long time; how do you "set" the center of rotation? As with a lot of my questions, I'm afraid the answer might be embarrassingly simple, but I haven't been able to (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

That was a trick answer. I don't know how and I am hoping someone will say how. I think MLCad takes the center of the grouping bounding rectangle. It certainly doesn't seem to be based on the origin. I had a submodel that I made sure had its 0,0,0 (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) In LEdit you can set the rotation centre with the keystroke "/ T C". I don't know about other LEGO CAD packages, but I think they should follow the LEdit standard when it comes to keystrokes. Fredrik (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Yes to both questions. If you are unsure about the centre of the part you are currently working on, you can temporarily switch to a different part, move it around, set the centre, and LEdit will remember this 'till the next time you reset the (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

*snip* (...) *snip* Thanks for the elucidation! One last question: how do you set the center of a piece permanently, as in a new DAT file? I notice, for example, that doors rotate on the anchoring studs, rather than on the center of "mass" of the (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
