Actually the 3D api is released, it works great and is fairly easy to use, I recomand it as far as parsing there are several parser generators for java out there. and the 3D api is hardware accelerated (it is written on top of opengl) Sproaticus a (...) Please before starting take a look at the java3D api, I know java 2 is not yet supported directly by most browsers but its just a question of time and then you have all the 3D done for you AND you get the benefice of 3D accelerations. (...) how (...) Almost any part which has convex curved surfaces will need type 5 lines. Obviously if you can make use of the circular primitives, then they already include the type 5 lines. (...) I was referring to that long list of pieces. Not any one particular piece. But if the piece has some complex curves in it, there is a good chance it will need type 5 lines to do it properly. For an example off the top of my head, see part (...) (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

i have just posted a fixed version of this piece to lugnet.cad.dat. let mw know if it is now fixed. the notches are still missing because i do not know how to adjuct the cylinders etc after i have inlined them. (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Good advice, Chris. I would like to also point out that many of the parts in that list have complex shapes that would require type 5 optional lines to have them look good. So Jonathan, you really need to have a good understanding of type 5 (...) (26 years ago, 28-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

i accually pulled the pattern straight of the 1 x 2 brick with black grille pattern because the patterened surfaces are the same size (26 years ago, 27-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
