Re: x786a.dat - electric motor with axle mockup

(...) Actually 786 was one of my allocation of _unknown part numbers_, but no matter. If it gets released as x786, I'll strike it from my list. Chris (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Parts from 8448 not LDrawn

[X-posted to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.technic, follow-up set to lugnet.cad.dev] While building the way-cool #8448 SSS Super Car Mk II, I compiled a list of parts which have not been modeled in LDraw yet. I've included it below. I had two reactions to (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.technic)

Re: [LDS] Is the keyword PLOT free?

(...) Good. Then I hereby claim it. (...) I wasn't either, but then came LDS Shell, and I changed my mind. After the Redraw button is clicked on, the Editor re-reads the source file. (...) Correct, is there a better terminolgy? If those two (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: [LDS] Is the keyword PLOT free?

I believe PLOT is currently unused by all known LDRAW utilities. I'm not too keen on the compiler modifying the source file, but that's your decision. So <sectors> is how many points to generate, and <total_sectors> is the total number of sectors in (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Ldlite for OpenGL and Linux (and uppercase filenames)

(...) At this point, I don't even know if the ARC program is DOS or Windows, so I can't say for sure if it's case-aware or not. I'll be finding out soon, after the 2000-01 voting process. Which is going to happen (relatively) soon, I promise. Steve (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

[LDS] Is the keyword PLOT free?

A new version of LDS is just about ready to be uploaded. I have added a new function that has no real name yet, but I think PLOT is a candidate. What it does is hard to explain, but I'll try: It plots the coordinates of a curve and creates an array (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Ldlite for OpenGL and Linux (and uppercase filenames)

(...) I agree. However, AFAIK, whenever LEdit creates a file, it creates it as all uppercase. --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ BramL@juno.com ---...---oooo-----(_...o---...--- WWW: (URL) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part number for crystal in Rock Raider sets?

(...) Because TLG uses a different process to make the chrome piece and the transparent piece and we are using TLG's numbers. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: OMR Filenaming Standard Change?

(...) BZZT Wrong Answer. Don't forget model team, some train sets and there is even a castle set with alternate model instructions -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Ldlite for OpenGL and Linux (and uppercase filenames)

Don Heyse: (...) Sorry, I had forgotten that. (...) I am sure we can get the Jessimans to accept a repackaging of that kind (if we agree on it). (...) A very sensible strategy. (...) We would have to have it approved by the Jessimans. (...) I can't (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
