Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

(...) I realize that primitives which are sized to 1LDU are easier to use, but a set of primitives which don't all use the same sizing are *harder* to use overall, because the author has to remember which sizing to use for which primitives. (...) But this piece is more akin to 3855 1x4x3 Window Glass than 3854 1x2x3 Window Pane. This piece and 3855 are akin in that, while they can be rotated, it is *much* less common than sitting vertical in the frame. Your piece, in its current form, (...) can someone please mkco-up the trap door piece and 6090 baseplate? i really need them for a model i am working on... i would make them but no-one i know of has them so... (25 years ago, 29-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Mirroring in LDraw (was: Re: what are the rules about hoses etc?)

(...) It's not that much more complicated, as long as you want to mirror across the *model's* orientation, not the *part's* orientation.   Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

(...) I think the box should conform to the same geometry as the other box* primitives -- it should range from -1 to +1, not -.5 to +.5. Steve (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

A few things I noticed/suggestions: 1. The way you use box4nl, you are drawing a bunch of quads which will never be seen. Drop the end-quads from box4nl. 2. On the outside frame, butted-construction is not the best way to put graphics primitives (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)
