Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

(...) center and (...) can (...) The way this primitive is designed saves time for the part author (not a whole lot, but some). Once you have the dimensions you want you just plug those in directly without having to divide them by two. When you use (...)   Re: what are the rules about hoses etc?

(...) Hoses go in the model. End of discussion (unless a serious user comes up with a really good and logical reason otherwise). (...) When it becomes possible, they are required too. (...) Yes and no. Some parts, depending on where they are in the (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Mirroring in LDraw (was: Re: what are the rules about hoses etc?)

(...) It's not that much more complicated, as long as you want to mirror across the *model's* orientation, not the *part's* orientation. If you've got a part command: 1 15 x y z a b c d e f g h i part.dat And you want to mirror on X (switch right (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

(...) I think the box should conform to the same geometry as the other box* primitives -- it should range from -1 to +1, not -.5 to +.5. Steve (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Part number needed & New primitive submission

A few things I noticed/suggestions: 1. The way you use box4nl, you are drawing a bunch of quads which will never be seen. Drop the end-quads from box4nl. 2. On the outside frame, butted-construction is not the best way to put graphics primitives (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: what are the rules about hoses etc?

(...) here is my thoughts: hoses go in model if possible (technic hoses for example cant be put in) the same goes for wire, string, rubber bands (when someone makes a way of puting those in) all those type of parts go into a seperate sub file for each (...)   What to do with a partially finished part? (2994.DAT)

I have made a draft for the part 2994.DAT "Wheel 30.4 x 14 VR". One can scale down the already existing 6594.DAT "Tyre 49.6 x 28 VR" to get a fairly realistic looking wheel and hub. Here is the DAT source for the part: (URL) a couple of images of (...) (25 years ago, 27-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: OMR Submission and Storage

(...) I'm not disagreeing here. But could it be optional to editors to change a pivot point if they feel they have the time or if they feel that it would severely enhance the model? I'll also add the pivot point thing to the creation/submission (...) (25 years ago, 27-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Ldraw.org-- Sets Tracker

(...) That's an excellent idea, and I *probably* thought of it for a split second but forgot :) I don't personally have the capability of making one of those, but if someone would like to or if Jacob could make a quick program for it, I can make a (...)   Mindspring Issue 990722-5791744 (Was: Re: ldraw.org Not Found)

(...) I am hearing the same things from Mindspring and am working with them and Jacob Sparre Andersen to see that the problem gets solved. The attached Mindspring trouble ticket number is 990722-5791744. From now on I'll try to cc all correspondence (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
