Re: what are the rules regarding sets with different set #'s?

We'll either need duplicate files or some way of cross-referencing the file by multiple set numbers. The Galaxy Explorer is a case in point: I just saw a post on RTL where someone couldn't find instruction scans on kl.net because they were listed (...)   Re: Parts Database (Was: Idea: ... Lego piece naming convention?)

(...) Hi all A standard naming convention is defenetively a must, weither Ldraw or Aucxilla or what ever it is, my self, I build a db for part inventory giving my own Part Number, Description and it is confusing with all the part auction around. In (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Cover Model

(...) Hee hee. Maybe, maybe not. I agree that it would be an incredible challenge, but I'll bet that it's not impossible. :) Have you seen Escher's famous _Metamorphose_II_? Here's a thumbnail of it, broken into five parts because it's one long (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Cover Model

(...) I'm no psychologist, so I can't back up any of this with scientific evidence, but I just meant that perhaps a model that was so pointy and sharp might be more intimidating to certain types of new people stopping by than a model that was (...)   Parts Database (Was: Idea: ... Lego piece naming convention?)

So far, I've only used LDraw's partlist and Lutz's, but I must say Steve's looks very promising. When it comes to Lego databases, there is an infinite amount of data we all wish to enter or seek on. Here's my two ideas to make Mission Impossible a (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Cover Model

(...) Yeah... (...) Good thought, but ldraw.org is not going to have a splash page like is up there now. When it goes live, the main page with all the info will be displayed. something like that would be more suited for a splash page. So I'm looking (...)   Re: [ldraw.org] Cover Model

(...) Heck, as long as it loads quickly and doesn't get in the way, I sure wouldn't mind seeing a POV-rendered image on the www.ldraw.org homepage. Sure, www.ldraw.org isn't www.povray.org, but over time POV-Ray is becoming more and more a part of (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Idea: How starting to work for a unique Lego piece naming convention?

(...) Are you having problems with the pages I put up at (URL)? Do you have any suggestions on ways the pages could be restructured to be smaller, but still usable as a tool to locate a specific part by looking at images of a bunch of parts? Some (...)
