here is what i think we should have under lugnet.cad: lucnet.cad. leave as is. lugnet.cad.dev. create new groups: lugnet.cad.dev.parts for discussions related to parts and parts making. lugnet.cad.dev.page for discussions related to ldraw.org (both (...) (...) I do have the capability of using PNG, but I am wary about browser support for them. I do remember when you brought up the topic two years ago on the Minifig World Tour that there was little browser support for it. Does IE5 and Netscape 4.7 (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

i have a suggestion for patterned baseplates e.g. the roadplates. how about taking each plate and making a subpart with the studs and baseplate itself, just missing toe top surface and then have the main part reference that subpart. then any (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

i have a font that might be of use. it is called charcoal. it might look good. it is the mac system font from mac os 8.0 but i ripped it off from the macs at my school (where i no longer go because i am now at uni) and converted it to windows TTF (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Usually I just use PNG instead of GIF which cuts roughly 20% of the file size (on average). If you want to improve the GIF compression of images you have to reduce the colour depth of the images. I use pnmdepth (from the netpbm/pbmplus (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
