Rubber Black (was: New Part - 30187 Minifig Motorcycle with 3 Wheels Body) —Steve Bliss
This is a separate reply, because this stuff needed to be XFUT lugnet.cad.dev. (...) Or we (that's an inclusive we, not just Paul, Steve and Franklin) should make a decision on what we want to do with "rubber black". There's definitely precedent for (...)         Re: Rubber Black (was: New Part - 30187 Minifig Motorcycle with 3 Wheels Body) —Jeff Boen
(...) Personally I feel that just using color codes to establish color/texture is the best move. We have 512 (and we could use more if necessary) currently and how many of those are actually valid and in use? Using a separate statement for texture (...)          Re: Rubber Black (was: New Part - 30187...) —Tore Eriksson
I cwould suggest something like this: 0 TEXTURE RUBBER <or matt, or whatever> < rubber parts in their colours > 0 TEXTURE END Don't forget that black is not the only colour of Lego rubber parts. THis can also be used for sloped parts textures: 0 (...) (24 years ago, 15-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

someone mention my name?... (was "Re: Rubber Black") —Franklin W. Cain
(...) Eh? Who, me? Or, another Franklin? Just wondering... To the best of my recollection, none of the pieces I've encoded as DAT files have been rubber or included any rubber parts. Thanks, Franklin (24 years ago, 16-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: someone mention my name?... (was "Re: Rubber Black") —Steve Bliss
(...) Yeah, you. I included you in because you'd been making comments about Paul's new parts, so you were 'in the vicinity'. BTW, every time I type your name, I have to restrain myself from calling you Frank. That's something I wouldn't have even (...) (24 years ago, 18-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: someone mention my name?... —Franklin W. Cain
(Notice "follow-up"...) (...) *Sigh*... I *had* to start putting that in my email "sig", 'cuz of the number of in-duh-viduals who, after seeing my name as _Franklin_W._Cain_ (*full* first name, *plus* middle initial), would start off by (...)       (...) wow.. everytime I hear your name, I picture you as the little black kid on "Peanuts" ;) J (24 years ago, 18-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: someone mention my name?... —Frank Filz
(...) That's all right, I always have to deal with folks who can't understand that my name isn't short for something else. Frankly my dear, I'm just a plain old "Frank", not Franklin, or Francis, or Frankie, or anything else... (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Rubber Black (was: New Part - 30187 Minifig Motorcycle with 3 Wheels Body) —Paul Easter
(...) Is this something that will only show when rendering? OR do you think that the LCad software will eventually get that detailed? (...) I'm not sure if it is overkill. There are so many colors that are undefined(as far as I know). Is there a way (...) (24 years ago, 23-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
