  Door 1 x 4 x 6 with 3 Panes with color X Glass

Hi there, Though the part 'Door 1 x 4 x 6 Frame' (30179) (URL) has been made, the 'Door 1 x 4 x 6 with 3 Panes with color X Glass' (x39c0X) is not, or is it? Has anyone made this one? See example trans light blue glass: (URL) (18 years ago, 28-Sep-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  NXT parts update

Hi. Finally I designed the missing front part of NXT US sensor (56467c01)! you can find the complete part in Ldraw's parts tracker. Also, I added the back sensor surface (55816) and fixed some holes in NXT motor shaft. Hope you like that. Danny (18 years ago, 17-Sep-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New parts header format validated by the LSC

(...) A shortcut is a file that provides an alias, a second number, for a part. Some shortcuts also specify the particular color (or colors) to use in a part. One classic example of a shortcut is part 30065.dat (even though its LDRAW_ORG line (...) (18 years ago, 15-Sep-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: New parts header format validated by the LSC

Hello, (...) Thanks for the information! I will use this syntax then. What exactly is a "shortcut"? I'm still trying to write a parts editor and now I implemented the new part header system in the program. I hope it won't change again! Leg Godt- (...)   Re: New parts header format validated by the LSC

(...) I would like to amend the Parts Tracker so that authors would not need to worry about this and the submit process would standardise this line. Chris (18 years ago, 15-Sep-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: New parts header format validated by the LSC

(...) the LSC hasn't voted on this issue yet and dropped the argument during discussion to speed up the voting on the actual header (which was a wise approach). anyway, the proposal is as following: 0 !LDRAW_ORG Unofficial_Part| Unofficial_Subpart| (...)   Re: New parts header format validated by the LSC

Hi Travis, how does this command line look like in unofficial parts (files I submit on the parts tracker)? 0 !LDRAW_ORG Part|Subpart|Primiti...e|Shortcut UPDATE YYYY-RR is it still the old 0 Type: Unofficial Element|Primitive|... line? And what kind (...) (18 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Update the header of our own parts?

(...) Right now, I think that would be less than useful. Once I have something (a web interface on ldraw.org) ready to share, I may be asking for help in working through the official library. For now, I'd just appreciate your patience. Chris (18 years ago, 12-Sep-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Update the header of our own parts?

dear admins, would it be a help if everyone updates at least the header of his own parts, by posting the modified headers in a unique posting at lugnet.cad.dat.parts? for example: Change: 0 Minifig Shield Round 0 Name: 3876.dat 0 Author: Willy (...)   New parts header format validated by the LSC

The LDraw Standards Committee (LSC) has validated a suitable LDraw parts header format proposed by the library admins to implement the Contributor Agreement (CA). This was necessary in order to update the LDraw parts library to use the new CA, and (...) (18 years ago, 11-Sep-06, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX) !

  Non square stud groups?

Is there any support for non square stud groups? Some of of the obvious ones would be 1X4, 1X6, 1X8, and 1X16. (18 years ago, 24-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

1-3 cyli, disc, edge - what's the best way?

I recently needed a set of 1-3 circular primitives (120 degrees) Before even addressing if these should be official primitives (as opposed to sub-parts), what do people consider the "best" way of constructing these? a) overlapping two 1-4 (or 3-16) (...) Thanks Travis, I'll have to remember that for next time. Thomas, I got the file you sent me and it works just fine... But it's missing a quad. The file shows this: Line #86: 4 16 20 0 -15 20 2 -15 20 2 -12 20 0 -10 Line #87: 4 16 20 2 -15 -20 2 -15 (...) (18 years ago, 14-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)
