(...) Although I have created mockups for the microphone and control unit for personal use. If you want to create these parts, please do. I can send you my mockups, if you like to. Niels (20 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Hook Coupling 737c01.dat and 444.dat train wheel.

(...) Wouldn't it be best to create 'inventorying policy'? Inventorying is much faster than actually modelling the parts, so the {ldraw} part library is {in my eyes} just a subset of peeron library. And while you think about some new policies, some (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Hook Coupling 737c01.dat and 444.dat train wheel.

(...) There is a logic to Niels' xNNN numbers and although this has been explained several times before, it probably deserves repeating. The LDraw convention for part numbers (initiated by James Jessiman) is to use 3-digit part numbers where the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) After a long delay I finally got back to these parts. I've post completed version on the PT. -Orion (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Sub-part numbers for Monorail Point/Switch Right

(...) Well this is a problem. But it could occure to more "old" DAT-files. (...) I could live with that. And I also think a "go left/right" and a "go straight" Shortcut _is_ needed. CU bernd (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Sub-part numbers for Monorail Point/Switch Right

(...) At the least, 2880 and 2881 are used in James' parts list: (URL) apparently weren't changed in the Purge Of 1998-06. So if the numbers are incorrect, no one knew it back then. Steve (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Sub-part numbers for Monorail Point/Switch Right

(...) Before renumbering we need to understand where these numbers came from. Being 4-digit numbers, we must assume that someone, at some time, thought they were correct. Nor is it beyond the bounds of possibility that LEGO used the same number more (...) (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Hook Coupling 737c01.dat and 444.dat train wheel.

(...) For the hooks I only found two versions, but I haven't yet finished the curved end. (URL) thanks for your historical overview of when the different types of hook couplings were used and in wich sets. Very interesting. Niels (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Sub-part numbers for Monorail Point/Switch Right

(...) Hehe, did the same and here are the pics for it: (URL) inner parts has been made as DATs from me. So I'll take them to the tracker. Hmmm, the 2880 and 2881 are already given to two parts. 2880 - Hinge Bar 2 & 1/2 with 2 and 3 Fingers on Ends (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Hook Coupling 737c01.dat and 444.dat train wheel.

Hi all, to draw a model, which I own for over 5 years, I have now done CAD files for the 60ies hook coupling and the 60ies 4.5 train waggon wheel with riffles. Now at last I was able to render the "Esso promotional set 121". The result can be seen (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.trains)

Sub-part numbers for Monorail Point/Switch Right

Having just opened one of these up, thought I'd record the part numbers in case they come in useful in the future. 2880 R - top plate 2881 R - bottom plate 2882 - switch blades 2883 - slide switch 2884 - wheel 2890 - trigger shoe 2911 - connector (...)   Re: LEGOfactory and LDraw

(...) <SNIP> (...) Thanks Jaco. I had been following the same line of research. Where LDraw has a 3-digit number and LDD now gives us a 4- or 5-digit version, I think we can treat that as "official" and rename in LDraw. Where there is a different 4- (...)   Renumbering parts! (was LEGOfactory and LDraw)

After some more research and thinking I found these parts too. They were (ofcourse) in the Excel file of Ildefonso! I should have thought of that before. 50950 Brick 1x3 with Bow (not yet in LDraw) 53480 Plate 8 x 8 with Road Straight (I made this (...)   Re: LEGOfactory and LDraw

Hi all, Here is an update for the LEGO Facotry MLCad Favorites list. I have discoverd that some parts were double in the list. Some parts have a different LDraw number than the one LEGO uses. They are: 44237 = Brick 2 x 6 (=2456) 30367 = Cylinder 2 (...) (20 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Minifig hair and hats

(...) How do you think most parts are made? On irregular parts, there's usually only so much measuring that can be done. In the end, (at least for me), things come down to eyeballing and a certain amount of adjusting things until they work. OTOH, if (...) (20 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Minifig hair and hats

Is anyone working on more basic minifig stuff? Seems like every other week there are new patterns available, but not some of the basics like hair and some hats. Right now I'm looking for 3898.dat, the cook's hat, and I'd like the minifig hair with (...) (20 years ago, 13-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Keeping track of temporary part numbers

Is there any place where we can see temporary part numbers attributed to a part before official release? For example, Technic Liftarm 1 x 4 x 0.5 was called x200, then x137, and now 32449. It would be interesting to keep that information somewhere (...) (20 years ago, 12-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Set 622 (1978) Tipper Truck

That is the one! I did not find it, because it does not have the word "Pattern" in it! Should it? If so, I suggest a description change to these parts: 3010P20B.DAT Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille Black 3010P20C.DAT Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille (...)
