New Part: 4066p01.dat: Duplo Brick 1 x 2 x 2 with Stop Sign Pattern  [DAT]

This piece comes in the older Duplo Freight Station <set:2745>. Note that you'll need the Duplo stud to view this properly. You can find it here: (2 URLs) can also find an image of this piece here (it's the 4th piece down- the big red stop sign is (...) (24 years ago, 2-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 3010p20s.dat: Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Black Grill and Side Stripes

I checked through early Town stuff on the set guide and came up with these two possibilities: <set:558>, <set:670>. These look like European and American versions of the same set. If so, I probably have the European one (though either is possible). (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 3010p20s.dat: Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Black Grill and Side Stripes

New Part: 3010p20s.dat: Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Black Grill and Side Stripes  [DAT]

I found this piece in my vintage Lego box. It's an ancient 1x4 with printed headlights/grill. But it also has striping stickers on the sides. Note also that I didn't base it off of the existing headlight piece- I didn't like the way that decoration (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Mismatched half-arches

While recently working with regular and inverted half-arches, <part:2339> and <part:30099>, I was dismayed to find the part models have different curvatures, whereas the real ones are identical. The curve of the upright one is composed of quads, (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: neck-mark for 973 files

(...) I sent fixes for all the currently released torsos to Steve in November 2000 and the revised 973s01.dat has a commented out section indicating how the neck mark should be coded, just as it does for the fron/rear faces - viz. 0 Uncomment for (...)   neck-mark for 973 files

Steve, Have you received updated DAT files for all of the minifig torso patterns, yet, for the change in how we do the neck-marks? If not, which ones still need to be changed? Did I ever offer this suggestion, that instead of hard-coding the actual (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

Sorry about taking so long to reply to this message. I have been working on trying to make a few of these torii mentioned below. (...) That is what I meant. :-) (...) If we worked with the method used for the rings and similar existing primitives, I (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: Floating optional lines on 977 Minifig hand

(...) This just demonstrates how useful L3Lab is as a checker, and how difficult it was to check parts before. I think the ability for it to show all type 5 lines was something Lars put in at my request - thanks, the effort has been shown to be (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Floating optional lines on 977 Minifig hand

Last night was toying with some minifig dat files I created with the nifty leocad minifig modeler when I spotted what looked like some bad type 5 lines on the hands. So I loaded just part 977 into l3lab and zoomed in. Sure enough, when you spin the (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Double side 8 pin plate?

Has anyone heard of a plate that has pins on both sides? My Megabloks has them and I thought lego did as well. Joe (24 years ago, 20-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Need Advice about Pt#30296

(...) Besides, "p01" is commonly used as the first (often only) patterned version for any part file. Pattern numbers up through about p09 shouldn't be assumed to be themed. Steve (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Golden Astronaut helmets? and Breastplates?

(...) obscure, but accurate reference. In short, I use Color 366 to get the gold that LEGO fans are familiar with. Copying some lines from POV-Ray's representation of Color 383 (Silver), a metallic/chromy version can be acheived. To get a good gold (...)   Looking for Train Ramp Part

I'm not sure if this part is under development by anyone but can someone please consider making it if not. The part in question is the 2 ramps that come with the New Red Train Station. One is a ramp and the other is just a rised walkway the same (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  New Part: 4066: Duplo Brick 1 x 2 x 2  [DAT]

  New Primitive: stu27.dat  [DAT]

Here's my proposed primitive for the Duplo top stud (fast-draw version). Note that it is 4 units tall, while a Duplo stud is 11 units tall. So the stud needs to be scaled on its Y by 2.75. This primitive is particularly brainless- the stud4.dat has (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)
