  Rough Slope  [DAT]

Here is a closeup of the wreaker with rough angle bricks, and the new dat file I used for the rough effect. It is a subtle change, but you can tell the difference.   Rough Slope (was Re: Arbitrary code (was Re: L3P Idea  [DAT]

(...) I invented a way to do this. Here is one slope .dat that is fixed for POV, and an example picture. Note that it works for any color, chrome and clear etc. Example picture: (URL) Slope Brick 33 3 x 2 with POV Roughness 0 Author: Amnon (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

New Part: Brick 4 x 10 Double Angle  [DAT]

I was building a crane from one of my sets and I didn't have this part. I always cheat when I build parts. I want functionality not appearence. I took a 2 x 10 brick and a 2 x 4 brick, added the angles and bingo. I'm happy with it. 0 Brick 4 x 10 (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

New Part: Windscreen from Millenium Falcon set. DAT included  [DAT]

I created a windshield so I can MLCAD my Millenium Falcon. I only did the edges cause that's all I need. Anybody interested in finishing it. Also I have no idea how the filenameing system is working, I do my best to keep it neat. The DAT file is (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Arbitrary code (was Re: L3P Idea

(...) My perspective is that of a user... POV renderings are wrong. *Any* solution that fixes my particular needs is good enough for me. That said, the most general solution may be the best, and embedding POV specific fragments may not be very (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Arbitrary code (was Re: L3P Idea  [DAT]

Once again, I suggest we added TEXTURE as a 0-meta-command. This would solve a lot of issues, we could for example use TEXTURE RUBBER for differently coloured rubber parts as rubber bands, erasers, tyres... This way, it won't be POV-only, but all (...) (...) "Spherical section"? It's not a cylinder except at the edges and Radar Dish is a usage, not a description of shape the way "modified plate" is, for example. I am not sure we can cause things to change easily. But if we can, we should get it (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

So.... What would be the CATEGORY for this part, then? "Radar Dish"? ;-) Or "Cylinder"? (As in "Cylinder Radar Dish...") If we're gonna do it, how 'bout we get started now? (A new year, a new beginning... :-) Thanks, Franklin (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Arbitrary code (was Re: L3P Idea
