Re: Clone "semi-bricks" (Was: Non-TLG Parts) —Todd Lehman
(...) Do you mean between each other or between DUPLO/PRIMO and SYSTEM? I've always thought that DUPLO and PRIMO were wonderfully compatible with each other. Not only is there a large 1x1 PRIMO brick with 4 DUPLO studs on top (a half-half (...) (26 years ago, 11-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Clone "semi-bricks" (Was: Non-TLG Parts) —Terry Keller
(...) Sorry, I meant between System and Duplo. Quite right about Duplo/Toolo - I just like saying "Toolo" :-) BTW, does TLG make a Toolo Belt? <g> (...) <g> Talk about typo's...... I meant to type "it wouldn't be a total tragedy" if they were added. (...) (26 years ago, 11-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)

Scala parts (Was: Clone "semi-bricks") —Tore Eriksson
(...) ...which reminds me of the 3x6 tile, that happened to be introduced in the Scala series (?). I don't like it to be put in a category; it's so basic. (Well, the measures 3x6 aren't). I would be surprised if it doesn't show up in a totally (...) (26 years ago, 11-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Clone "semi-bricks" (Was: Non-TLG Parts) —Bram Lambrecht
(...) DUPLO bricks have definitely more rounded edges than regular bricks. Would you want to model those edges or just make it look like a giant system brick with empty studs? --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ BramL@juno.com (...) (26 years ago, 12-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Clone "semi-bricks" (Was: Non-TLG Parts) —John VanZwieten
(...) I think the standard mentioned on L-CAD was details >= 1 ldu get drawn, and the curved edges on DUPLO definitely have a radius > 1 ldu. -John Van (26 years ago, 12-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Clone "semi-bricks" (Was: Non-TLG Parts) —Steve Bliss
(...) That was the opinion stated by Jacob, which I generally agree with, but it depends on the detail in question. Some common, details which are larger than 1LDU details and are skipped in LDraw parts: - the indentations on the undersides of (...) (26 years ago, 12-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Proper tiles (Was: Clone "semi-bricks" (Was: Non-TLG Parts)) —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Ya know, this has been one of my pet peeves with LDraw. But since I'm too lazy to learn how to create pieces, I haven't said anything about it until now. Would anyone have the time, inclination, and patience to "fix" the 4 dozen or so Tile (...) (26 years ago, 12-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Proper tiles (Was: Clone "semi-bricks" (Was: Non-TLG Parts)) —Steve Bliss
(...) Sure, no problem, I'll get right on it. At the same time, I'll also shave the excess 1LDU off the ends of all the cross-axles, OK? ;) Steve (26 years ago, 12-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Proper tiles (Was: Clone "semi-bricks" (Was: Non-TLG Parts)) —Chris Dee
(...) Actually, this adds weight to our recent use of subpart files for the non- decorated sections of parts which are frequently decorated. If this had been done from the start (no criticism implied) we would now only have to "fix" the subparts - (...) (26 years ago, 13-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

         3011.dat Duplo Brick 2 x 4 (Was: Clone "semi-bricks") —Tore Eriksson
Not too bad, Steve, but here's a fixed version of your Duplo brick.    !!!Warning!!! off-topic for this group !!!Warning!!! (...) I think of Toolo as Technic for DUPLO. Unfortunately, it seems like there is a limit to what you can build from Toolo, because of what's included in the sets. Combining them which great (...) (26 years ago, 11-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)
