The interface looks great!  I like the many options and corner views.
The 'figs are a nice tough too.

Thanks!  I was a bit worried that all the arrow-buttons are be a bit
confusing.  They probably are, too, at least in the beginning.

While Kevin Loch's interface lets you move in specified directions, my
interface is more in the "Doom" tradition, i.e, you can move
forward/backward, slide left/right and rotate left/right.

Now you just need to add more models!

Well, I wouldn't want to compete with the DAT Explorer, and besides, the
computer can't handle too much traffic.  And I put up this mostly for
the experience and fun of it.

Just one suggestion/idea: How about having a number of different
views to choose/start from, sort of like pre-defined views in
LDAO/LDLite?

That is an interesting idea.  But I'm a bit worried that if I put up a
few standard views, the concept of walking through the model disappears.
Of course, one can still fine tune the view, as you say.

John VanZwieten also had the idea to let the user always look towards
the centre of the model, specifying only the polar coordinates (and
possibly the distance?).  This would probably make the viewing easier,
but think I would still miss the "walking through".

In a few years time, when computers get faster, we can probably
implement this idea much faster and better.  Or perhaps we want larger
image resolution by that time, so that viewing will still be slow?
