I'm afraid I can't help you here. I have only used the LDraw DAT format
and the POV-Ray format. I have no experience with other formats. Try
the newsgroup `lugnet.dat'. Perhaps someone there can help you.
BUT: You can make animations using POV-Ray only. POV-Ray has the built
in capability to animate a scene. I have used this to create a few
animations at:
http://www.math.uio.no/~fredrigl/technic/animations/
I'm most happy with this one (WARNING: 380Kb animated GIF)
http://www.math.uio.no/~fredrigl/technic/animations/moke-r-2.gif
I've been thinking about making an animation of the Beach Buggy myself,
but I want to animate the wheels, gears and piston engine, which will
take some tinkering before I can complete. It is more of a long term
project, really.
Besides, I don't have any people to put in the vehicle, and it may look
a bit stupid to have an animated, moving buggy without a driver! (Are
anybody working on modeling the Technic figures in LDraw?
