  Top 30 LDraw parts authors

I'm said to be a prolific parts author, so I wanted to verify the truth behind... A few find in files, some Excel work and a bit of manual cleaning gives the result below. This was done on the full collection of official LDraw parts + unofficial (...) (14 years ago, 16-May-11, to lugnet.cad)

  LDraw All-In-One-Installer 2010-03 beta

Hi, since the old AIOI dates back to 2006 I thought that's high time to compile a new one: (URL) installer does all kind of things, which are listed below in detail. This is a 32-bit-only but it works great on my Win7 64bit. I would appreciate if (...) (14 years ago, 13-May-11, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw) !

Re: Converting LDD parts to LDraw

(...) I figured that, but since these aren't part of one of the official releases as such, I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate to tag them the same way. For batch releases, it's customary to give them the date of the release. This is sort of (...) (14 years ago, 11-May-11, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Converting LDD parts to LDraw

(...) <snip> (...) I guess it's not clear that the LUT parts *are* LDD meshes already? An official LUT part release is also data from LDD. -- joshua (14 years ago, 11-May-11, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LDView File Information Display?

(...) You're the first person to ask for that, but I can see how it makes sense. I'll add it to my list, but no guarantees of when it will get implemented. --Travis (14 years ago, 10-May-11, to lugnet.cad)

  LDView File Information Display?

Is it possible to set LDView to display the information L3Lab offers? See (URL) don't find the file's Path very useful to know, compared to Description and Author. Or is it maybe that I'm just used to have it this way? :) /Tore (14 years ago, 9-May-11, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Converting LDD parts to LDraw

(...) Ah - yes, thanks for posting this. Indeed getting the right orientation is a bit tricky the first time. You can also get the orientation another way: a litle later in the 3dxml file you have several lines beginning with "Polyline vertices": (...) (14 years ago, 9-May-11, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Converting LDD parts to LDraw

(...) Thanks. I had forgotten about the LUT version of that part. With your instructions I've started on part 4505. I got the number from another post of yours, though everyone else seems to only know it as x79. I found that with your technique I (...) (14 years ago, 9-May-11, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Converting LDD parts to LDraw

(...) No need to do the conversion for this one, it was already done in LUT program (URL) (file at (URL) your cat, albeit a bit sketchy, was outstanding for a hand made job! Philo (14 years ago, 6-May-11, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Official LPub manual online

(...) Yeah, noticed that _after_ the pdf was generated... could have been edited out like the left menu and search box! (...) I know, always the problem with such duplicated data, that's why I added file generation date in the name! I'll try to (...) (14 years ago, 6-May-11, to lugnet.cad)
