The documentation in the LDD installation directory mentions that you can
run LDD in Windowed mode although because I can't get it run, I haven't been
able to try it. I did run the configuration tool to change System
Performance to "low spec". I can't tell if it makes a difference or not
because it appears that you can't run LDD unless you are connected to the
Internet (I am offline as I write this sitting in a Bruger's Bagel Bakery
working on performance reviews for my team).
Can anyone verify that you have to have a live connection for this to work?
That is pretty hokey IMNSHO - an application targeted at children should not
require a live Internet connection.

| (...) You shouldn't need an internet connection to run LDD. The only thing it does is check if there's a new version available before running - nothing else is transmitted. What exactly happens when you try and run it? -- Marc (20 years ago, 16-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad)
