Hi all. I'm working on a gallery for a friend of mine. I have the building created. I'm trying to figure out how to put here photographs onto a tile so that it looks like the photo is part of the "original" piece (when it's just created in the (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Although BMP2DAT is certainly a viable approach, if what you want to do is put images on things that are just going to be POV'ed anyway and it's OK that the image not show up in LDraw based tools at all, you may be farther ahead using image (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Actually, I've tried using it, but the images came out less than I had hoped. The images I tried playing around with were simple images that came out very pixelated in the final images. Any suggestions as to where I might be going wrong? (As (...) (21 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

(...) You're not doing anything wrong. BMP2DAT produces pixellated images, that's what it does, because it does so by stringing (1 LDU??) rectangles together to represent groups of pixels in the original BMP file. If pixellation bothers you, see my (...) (21 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Larry is right on that one. heres some tips for you A. if using bmp2dat consider doing larger then normal images AND scale then original planned, example is to do a logo, say shell. do it say 5 times its size, then when done with the DAT on (...) (21 years ago, 3-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

Here's what the gallery building looks like. My plan is to worry about the surrounding landscape after the interior and pictures are finished. (URL) Thought I had the interiors in, but obviously I don't. I'll put them in tomorrow night and let y'all (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)
