Re: New Part: 3069bpw0.dat - Tile 1 x 2 with "Wanted - Flatfoot Thomsen" Pattern

Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) Right - it could only do so when asked by the client, and the client is always free to ignore data it doesn't need. (...) Could do that, or tar (which would work for non-DAT files, if needed). I'd be tempted to add a zip compression (as an (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) That's where LDList (my LDRAW Part search program) comes in - you can even search on the number of studs :-) (URL) Anders Isaksson, Sweden BlockCAD: (2 URLs) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) I'd say it wouldn't *have* to return the dependent files. LDView can turn around, and make an additional request. (...) Well, the server can support multiple files per request, and client programs can use it as well as they can. (...) Use MPD (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

(...) That starts getting more difficult for a few reasons. First of all, the tracker would have to return all the dependent files on the tracker in addition to the requested files. Many of these files could well be already present on the end-user's (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: LSC - current status?

(...) Could the translation not be managed at the user end? For example we could make a program "partstranslate" which reads in one or more translation table(s) (just Swedish in this case) and goes through all parts adding a new line something like (...) (...) Actually, I don't have a problem with changing part header information with an admin edit without destroying the existing votes, and have done this many times. I would draw the line at changing data which affects the integrity of the part - (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Automatic download of unofficial parts in LDView

Re: Suggested New Primitive: 4-4cyl12.dat (was: More cylinder primitives wanted)

(...) We could use "rod" as a short base name for these. Do we need to allow for non-360 degree versions? I didn't see any requirements for partial cylinders in the thread so far. Was that implicit in the request? 1) If not, one would be to use a (...) (18 years ago, 17-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: Suggested New Primitive: 4-4cyl12.dat (was: More cylinder primitives wanted)
