  Some comments on LPub

I got this fabulous email from Andrew Maier: Kevin, as discussed, here are some comments on LPub. I wanted to post this on the lugnet cad forum, but I signed up there only recently, and it seems to take a while. So I'm writing to you, but feel free (...) (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Anybody working on the 45301 wedge 4x16 curved triple?

Just wondering since I don't have the skills, nor the time to make it myself, but am going to need it soon. (URL) -NB PS: I'll be away from my computer for the rest of the easter, so I'll only be able to read for a while (20 years ago, 22-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Rotating Gear Teeth

(...) Hi Mitchell, Yes. It is possible to turn a 24th gear using MLCad. When you click on the gear (placed in the X/Y plane), you should see a small black square with a plus in it. This is MLCad's rotation point. If the rotation point is in the (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Minifig Chain Updated

(...) Good catch Purple Dave! Thanks for the update Steve. I'll have to adjust some of my LSynth information based on the new part sizes I guess. Kevin (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: Minifig Chain Updated

Hi Steve, (...) Your eyeballs are quite precise! I measured a link at 8 x 4.6 x 1.2mm, translating to 20 x 11.5 x 3 LDU... Philo (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Rotating Gear Teeth

In MLCad, is there a way to rotate the gear teeth of the 24 tooth gear by employing the "Z" element toolbar commands? The "Z" rotation command rotates the teeth for 8, 16, and 40 tooth gears, but only the internal bar and four holes rotate inside (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Minifig Chain Updated

I just posted an update to the minifig chain (part 208c01.dat) to the Parts Tracker. The official file three problems: it was too long overall, there were too many links, and each link was too small. (URL) Compare: [LDrawPart 208c01:7] Current (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: LDraw's Autostep does not work in Lpub?  [DAT]

(...) Autostep is not part of the LDraw file format, but specific to MLCad. Here is a specification of the official LDraw file format: (URL) is not the default in MLCad. At least not on my generic installation of MLCad. (...) Autostep is not a (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: LDraw's Autostep does not work in Lpub?

(...) Hi Mitchell, LPub has no support for autostep. I didn't even know about it until you mentioned it. LPub supports STEP and ROTSTEP meta commands, but not autostep. If you read the LPub help file you wil find no mention of AUTOSTEP. Having made (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.ray)

LDraw's Autostep does not work in Lpub?

If I understand correctly, LDraw's Autostep is set as the default and requires no other changes (if you will accept a new step after adding each new part). However, I cannot get LPub to render anything but the complete assembly from a model designed (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Version 512 of the Library is available now.

Version 512 of the Library can be found on my website now, 12 new pieces have been added, among them the much requested revolver! I have also changed the appearances of all the tech_plugs and a new color was added. As always you can find all of the (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Missing parts in Ldraw, what do I do now?

(...) Yeah, I admit that I've been less active on the PT as of late. Right now we're still in a holding pattern on the next update due to several key authors that have not yet responeded to the CA. All my PT effort have been towards this effort. (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Missing parts in Ldraw, what do I do now?

(...) Thank for your advice Orion. It has been on the parts tracker for a while. (URL) guess I wanted to finish something for once by appealling to an audience which may include LDRAW parts reviewers. Ian (20 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Legoland LDraw model repository

(...) I have to forgotten to mention that Javascript needs to be enabled. Please try to type 0686-73 and then click the button. This should work. Also I found that not all MPD-files yet uploaded. I will check this and give a new comment if finished. (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

If I were a Minifig....... (Kitchen, dining, rec & gym)

If I were a Minifig this would be the rest of my pad. (4 URLs) Once again there all a little to big for system minifigs but I guess thats the cost of a little detail.
