Re: Things that are hard to do with LDraw and building instructions

(...) Since LPub is not a renderer, it in fact does deal with models. Buffer exchange in LPub saves/restores the model up to the buffer exchange, not the images from steps. (...) This gets tricky...... I don't know how you can create a new group (...) (20 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: rendering different scenes at same scale

(...) Surely just using the same coordinates will do this (may be tricky with globe coordinates getting the distance right) (20 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

rendering different scenes at same scale

Hi, Is there a way with L3P or directly in POV-ray to render different scenes (w/ models of different size) at the same scale (ie 1 LU always equals the same number of pixels ; the camera being of course isometric) ? Thanks, David (20 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: If I were a minifig...... ( bed & bath )

(...) wow, those are beautifull. and exquisitly rendered too, especially the shiny mirrors. I love the bathroom. Beedrooms not my stile though, wheres the computer! -mark (20 years ago, 11-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, FTX)

Re: Things that are hard to do with LDraw and building instructions

(...) Hi Michael, Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I use buffer exchange *alot*, and it works well for some cases, but not others. In the 8455 model, you start putting a hose in step 8, but you don't have enough of the model to hook up the other end of (...) (20 years ago, 11-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Things that are hard to do with LDraw and building instructions

(...) Yeah, in his first post Kevin said you could use Buffer Exchange and Ghost to acheive the effect, but it's not easy. This might be because those commands work on a series of images, but he's more comfortable thinking in terms of manipulating (...) (20 years ago, 11-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: The Minifig Macro - walk that minifig

The main differences: - Anton's parts are objects with "insides" rather than polygons (LDraw is exclusively polygons--and because of broke BFC winding, "inside" is wrong on about (...)   Re: LDraw.org's January Model and Scene of the Month Winners

(...) Sorry, I didn't have time to make/update the applicable pages but I thought it would be best if I least started the poll since it was so late in the month. I should have this rectified by the weekend. -Orion (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Re: LDraw.org's January Model and Scene of the Month Winners

(...) Yeah, I noticed that too. I wanted to go back and examine the pics for the small model. Can't remember what it was now, but there was something odd about the way the studs rendered. There was either a lot of z-bleeding, or else it just ripped (...) (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)
