Re: MLCad blacked out views problem

I do, but I have encountered similar problems in the past. Do you have an ATI or Creative Labs video card? They tend to require fresh drivers after a directX upgrade... (...) Joe Greene UNIX Systems, Network and IT Specialist a.k.a. Guesseppi (...) (21 years ago, 26-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: TrackDraw number formats

(...) Although used to be aware this could be twelve point something as most germans are often exposed to english text formats . . . writing this on a cheque would definitly be read as twelve thousand threehundred and forty five. The point is used (...) (21 years ago, 26-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: MLCad blacked out views problem

(...) Yes, with no problems. Sounds like you got a problem with Windows that, by sheer coincidence, manifested itself at the same time you installed MLCad. (21 years ago, 25-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: MLCad blacked out views problem

I'm beginning to wonder if Direct X 9 is the problem. Although I can't say this problem started immediately after I upgraded to Direct X 9 it was definitly around the same time that the blackout problem started. Anyone else have Direct X 9 installed (...) (21 years ago, 25-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Help a guy out...

(...) Please read this article about POV-Ray 3.5 (I assume you using 3.5): (URL) the directions to fix the undocumented error in the POV Distribution. This will fix most of the problems you encounter. -Orion (21 years ago, 25-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Help a guy out...

I wanted to get this out earlier but, have been busy. I want to thank the hand full of you guys that took time out to give that file a Render. I still can't believe how well it came out. I also found a few goofs in my model but, nothing that can't (...) (21 years ago, 25-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Possible Bug?

Joe, the hidden attribute is never saved. So when you save such a hidden group, only the group itself is saved, not the hidden attribute. When you reload the model now, you will see the group again. When you ungroup the "group" its just split up (...) (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Color Definition for Dull Silver

How about dropping the AA ? So far, IIRC, no-one has ever used it. If another value than the default (0x80?) is wanted, it can be put into the MATERIAL section: transparent=25% The we will use the familiar LDraw color codes for both EdgeColor and (...)   MLCad blacked out views problem

I recently upgraded to version 3 of MLCad and I'm having a problem were all the views have turned black.   Re: LDraw to RenderMan conversion

(...) Very cool! There was a guy from DreamWorks at SIGGRAPH who was looking for something like this. I'll be sure to pass it along! -Tim (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Color Definition for Dull Silver

(...) Ok, I was agreeing with your proposal to make it optional and relegate it to the end of the line with the MATERIAL properties. And hopefully it'll never be used, except possibly to reproduce a texture that's stippled in real life like the (...) (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Part Renames

(...) The Castle Walls (including the newly LDraw one) need to be renamed to be Panels. Also, the names for minifig parts (of which there are many) are a great mystery to me.
