  LPuv problems

I have now got LPub working with the older versions of POVRay and MEGAPov and it mostly seems ok but I have had a couple of problems. The first is not that important, the first part in the first construction image created comes out grey no matter (...) (21 years ago, 9-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

(...) Not that I recall or can see from the picture. He said that was a list of the 2003 colors that they could order more of, and he said earlier that Maersk was no longer open for ordering for them. Hope that helps... Mark P (URL) (21 years ago, 9-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

(...) Ah. All I recall was he wanted to give it to somebody who could get it to the masses. But since a list was made public by Lego I think it would be safe to put out the list that you have, if you still have it... Do you still have it? Mark P (...) (21 years ago, 9-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

(...) Doing both isn't a problem. Actually, the question I had was how soon ldglite would check both locations. Tom (21 years ago, 9-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Snowspeeder render on deviantART

I was on deviantART today looking at fantasy themed pictures when I struck me to search for Lego related art. After trolling through 400 some entries I found this: (URL) by Aaron Merriman. All I have to say is "Way Cool" -Orion (21 years ago, 8-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: to John Riley/ref. 214.dat

(...) Last update we modified 4-4con12.dat to an empty file. For some reason, MLCad is using the 4-4con12.dat in the P directory instead of the one in the local directory (local files should take precidence over those in the P and PARTS (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  to John Riley/ref. 214.dat

Hi John, you are the author of 214.dat "Radar Dish 3x3". This part is causing problems. In MLCad it is always displayed zoomed out - at 6% or less, no idea. Whenever I hit "zoom fit" it's just a dot on the screen (and so is the whole model), and it (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

(...) Is it possible that these colors are used for decorative printing of elements and not exclusively used to identify molded ABS? -Rob. (21 years ago, 8-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Official LEGO Color Chart

(...) Mark, Is Maersk Blue included in the picture you have above ? If so, which number is it ? Ray (21 years ago, 8-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

(...) To be honest, I'm not fussed either way. I guess if you use multiple Ldraw applications, then using a single preferences file for all programs to locate the Ldraw directory makes sence. My only concern is that the file only be used to store (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

(...) Ok, but remember James used the word "eventually" a few messages back. I wouldn't skip the environment.plist file in favor of the org.ldraw.plist file just yet. Do both files, or just the environment.plist file if both is too much work. (...) (21 years ago, 8-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

(...) I like the idea of a single repository of ldraw-related settings. I'd also be satisfied with the short version of the plist name (with org.ldraw.apps second). The key and string for LDRAWDIR do match the draft environment.plist contents from (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Attention! Cut your rendering time in half!!

(...) Trevor, I couldn't resist, but... Did you consider the time and work required to bring it up in PSP etc and resize them? For a big lot of picture or for really complex models/scenes this may make sense because the time required for resizing a (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

(...) Sorry! No, I meant a preference window. James (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

(...) When you say "pref pane" do you mean a "PreferencePane" that goes into "System Preferences...", or do you mean just a way to set the preferences from a dialog box opened by selecting "Preferences..." from the application's "Application" menu?   Hold vote on 777p12.dat - Portuguese Flag

At Mon Jul 28 16:00:04 2003, the following review was posted: Reviewer: Steffen Certification: hold Comments: pattern is incomplete, portuguese flag has some yellow detail in the center which will be very difficult to model :-( (URL) the official (...)   Attention! Cut your rendering time in half!!

Alright! Now this works with anything- radiosity included. It actually makes a very low count look like a very high count(just use Jeroen de Haan's radio_1.inc). You will need some kind of image editing software capable of resizing images (if you (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

I vote for org.ldraw.plist because it's short and simple. However I could probably be convinced to go for org.ldraw.ldrawconfig.plist because it's like com.apple.internetconfig.plist, or maybe org.ldraw.apps.plist, but not the one with mac in it. To (...)   Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

(...) No, Apple doesn't encourage that. And you are right, it shouldn't be named org.ldraw.ldrawdir.plist. Most preferences for a single application are stored in a single file. Some applications use entire folders (especially web browsers--so they (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Central location for LDraw prefs

(...) Unless I'm misunderstanding, I think you would be much better off if you drop ".ldrawdir" from the plist filename above. That way the file can contain other settings in the future in addition to the LDRAWDIR setting you have now. Or put (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
