Re: All Encompassing Installer Not Available on Ldraw?

(...) Ack! I have had that BW03 disk in my possession for months. And as you say, the installer is right there on the disk. Looks like there's 3.5 MB of train models besides. AND a host of tutorials also. All told there's approx. 418 MB of stuff (...) (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: All Encompassing Installer Not Available on Ldraw?

(...) All, Let me give you a brief history of the ALL ENCOMPASSING installer (AEI) that we have and what some of the issues about why it is NOT on ldraw.org (YET!). In late 200 (*I think*) I took over the LDraw.org help desk from Tim. At the time I (...) (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: All Encompassing Installer Not Available on Ldraw?

(...) Gee, what a drag. I guess people shouldn't go to: (URL) and download the "all-in-one" installer. That would be bad. Very Bad. Don't do it! We see all. -- Hop-Frog (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LDraw.org Config File (was: Edge line colors on img.lugnet.com)

(...) Any reason it doesnt have "colour" in the name? It seems to only contain colour definitions, or will this be extended in future for other things (possibly)? Also, in keeping with the Australian flavour of LDraw parts, descriptions, etc, maybe (...) (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: LDraw.org Config File (was: Edge line colors on img.lugnet.com)

(...) Since no software can handle the file right now, I suggest the format is changed into: 0 COLORDEF color name edgecolor r g b dr dg db material COLORDEF in stead of COLOR to avoid confusion with ldlite COLOR. For edgecolor you can also use (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: All Encompassing Installer Not Available on Ldraw?

(...) One reason I can think of is that LDraw.org isn't the maintainer of all the programs that use LDraw files. There are also legal issues in that we don't have the rights to distrbute some of the programs. -Orion (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

All Encompassing Installer Not Available on Ldraw?

And why not? I have always looked upon loading up all the individual applications as an enormous hassle, and an "all-in-one" installer is SO much easier!!! I know there's one floating around, I already downloaded it and am currently using it to (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: announcing TrackDraw (BrickFest review)

(...) Just wanted to post a quick follow-up on TrackDraw. I sat in as Cary demonstrated the program at BrickFest, and WOW, does it ever look sweet! Cary is adding functionality beyond what TrackDesigner has, such as pathing, segment rotation, some (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: Problem with LPub and MegaPOV

(...) Tried this, still got the same error, I think its something to do with is expecting either a } or a command it recognises and its getting neither I am rebuilding my PC so will try downgrading to the older versions! :) many thanks Tim (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Ldraw.org on [H]ard-OCP

I just saw this on (URL) so ldraw.org should prepare for an increase on bandwidth, most sites usually overload when they've been put on the newspage: Leggo my Lego: Never again will a small child have the ability to run into the room and bumrush (...)   LDraw @ BrickFest Thanks

I just want to take a moment to thank those LDraw volunteers and presenters who came to BrickFest this weekend. Kevin Clague presented two sessions (to my knowledge) on LPub and LSynth. Cale Leiphart worked very hard to assemble and print posters (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Different sizes for 2 & 3 piece ladders (was Re: Ladder Requests)

(...) Will, From what I know, the 2-piece ladder is the shorter version and the 3-piece ladder is the longer version. LDraw models the 3-piece ladder as 850, 851 & 852, but doesn't model the shorter 2-piece version. There are some differences (...) (21 years ago, 11-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad)

  LDGLite 1.0.0 video matrix

Don, I added a table of observations for the various video modes and LD modes to the end of the message. I put in carriage returns to manually wrap lines before 80 characters, and everything lines up nicely if you use a monospaced font. One last (...) (21 years ago, 9-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
