  Re: announcing TrackDraw (BrickFest preview)

(...) I wonder if you would feel the same when it was programmed in Java, which needs a Java Virtual Machine installation first. .Net is perfectly acceptable IMHO. I guess it's more an anti Microsoft thing than anything else (the $ is a good hint (...) (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: announcing TrackDraw (BrickFest preview)

(...) There is nothing wrong with using .NET, and most of the "crap" you refer to is already present in Windows XP. I've developed many .NET programs and they all work well and my clients are all happy with the way .NET works on their systems. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: announcing TrackDraw (BrickFest preview)

(...) Why you did it in MICRO$OFT .NET now if we want to use your program we need to install 30mb of crap .NET anyway your program is the 1st ine to use it I haven't seen any yet apart from MICRO$OFT LONGHORN a.k.a next windows in 2005 (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Train Track 9V Half Straight

(...) I missed that. (...) Well, seems to be interesting. But I never missed such a part. Where could it be used meaningful? CU Bernd (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: announcing TrackDraw (BrickFest preview)

(...) I noticed you're using .Net So it might actually work on Linux boxes since the Framework is also available for Linux. See: (URL) for more info about a .Net framework implementation. -Frank (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Configuring the .ldr mime-type in Windows XP

  Re: Orange in LDraw

Another solution is to leave things alone, but change the applications palette to suit the user's taste. Color is tricky. (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Configuring the .ldr mime-type in Windows XP

Does anyone know how to configure the application/x-ldraw mime type in Windows XP? This tutorial works for Windows 98 and I think it's close enough for 2000, but naturally M$ made it even harder for XP. (URL) even tried some old command line (...) (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDGLite outputting gobble-dee-goo to terminal window

(...) Yep, it is cool to have my model as the edit mode screen shot. It is the first model that I created entirely with LDGLite too. I just finished downloading 1.0.0. I'll give you a report as soon as I have had a chance to do some testing. Chris (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: How to use Mega-Pov without LPub

(...) Yeah, it's because, well, I already have every program (pov, mlcad) set up on my desktop computer, and I don't feel like replacing everything right now. I have installed everything on my other computer, but it's so slow and old that it can't (...) (21 years ago, 7-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  announcing TrackDraw (BrickFest preview)

I've been working on TrackDraw, a replacement for Track Designer, for six months or so. I'll talk about it at BrickFest on Saturday. You can read a little about it, and see the BrickFest PowerPoint slides here: (URL) not ready to release the program (...)   Re: Star Wars mini models 1st wave render & Orange in part

(...) Maybe a light source is really close, but the blue seems rather bright. I'll have to try it myself. There's not an official LDraw color for Dark Blue yet, is there? I checked (URL) (...) 484 looks like the right orange to me, based on your (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Star Wars mini models 1st wave render

(...) Very nice. I happen to have 4485 and in my version the two gray cones on both Podracers are dark gray, all Tile 1 x 1 with Clip pieces are gray (two in Sebulba's Podracer look white on your picture), and two Plate 1 x 1 Round on Anakin's (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: How to use Mega-Pov without LPub

<snip> (...) Is there a reason why you would NOT want to use LPub? It is a better way to go if you want to use MegaPOV as you don't have to write any code and just provide the numeric text. -Ahui LDraw Help Desk (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Train Track 9V Half Straight

(...) Hi Bernd, Thats why i say 'verry first time that a LDRAW part is created BEFORE the official LEGO part's available'. You can see this half track on the back side of the NEW freight train box (set 4512). For more info read (URL) and following (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Star Wars mini models 1st wave render

Orion, Nice work! Excellent job of lighting in that photo. Having no shadows really gave it a sense of realism, instead of just making it seem like a bunch of models on display. Amazing what changing the spot lightsources to ambient sources will (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Star Wars mini models 1st wave render & Orange in part

(...) It is dark blue. In fact that's the darkest I can get it wiht LDraw color number since I used dithered Black and Blue. (...) Unfortunately no (...) I used 484. 25 seemed too dark. -Orion (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Star Wars mini models 1st wave render & Orange in part

(...) Looks nice, esp. the AT-ST. Colors seem wrong on the Slave I (I think the blue should be dark blue). Missing the TIE Bomber, though. Are the cylinders for the TIE Bomber up yet? Question related to another topic: what color orange did you use (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

Star Wars mini models 1st wave render

Well, between Donald Sutter and myself all the parts, including patterns, used in sets 4484, 4485, 4486, 4487 have been modelled and are offical or on the Parts Tracker. I got bored and made a render of the the Mini's in the same picture: (URL) a (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: LDraw Color for Maersk Blue?

Here's some pictures: (URL) L3P (URL) LDView Left is color 497 (White and Blue dither) Middle is 505 (White and Light Blue dither) Right is 507 (White and Cyan dither) Based on these 2 I'd (...)
