Re: Download parts automatically with your preferred modeller?

In lugnet.cad, Willy Tschager writes: <Snip> Here, Here! I'm a casual user of the LDraw line, using MLCad to look at different MOCs around the community. But, I'm constantly plagued by "Part Number ... Not Found! Continue Loading?" An auto updater, (...)   Part request: TV Chopper Windscreen

This part from year 1999 is unfortunately not availible for LDraw: (URL) the range of windscreen-elements is limited anyway, I feel this could make a useful addition. Shouldn't be overly hard to create for a skilled parts-developer. Any takers? (...) (22 years ago, 23-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Andrew, Sorry to have missed this...you posted while BricksWest was going on! Shame on you! 8?)   Java 3D app ready for Mac LDraw?

Hey everybody, At BricksWest last weekend, Wayne Gramlich told me about this site: (URL) you are heavily into Java, Wayne figures that it would take no more than a week of code to have a Macintosh LDraw modeller written on top of this. Do we have (...) (22 years ago, 23-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Delphi user need help on VB6

  Re: Naming of springs parts

(...) The spring is actually a part (assuming LEGO assembles their own pneumatic elements). So it should have its own number. I've emailed you the details a few minutes ago. Steve (22 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Modelise inner details or use more standard primitives ?

(...) I think the way it exists now is best. How noticeable is it that the sphere has no holes in it. Even if the part is transparent, the fact the the holes do not pass through the sphere is barely noticeable. Plus since this part is small in size, (...)   [Parts Tracker] email address needed: Ildefonso Zanette

Ildefonso Zanette, Email being sent from the Parts Tracker to your address-of-record is bouncing. Can you send an updated address to parts@ldraw.org? Thanks! Steve Bliss (22 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Modelise inner details or use more standard primitives ?

(...) I think having the interior open would be a good thing for this part. However, we're rapidly approaching 1000 files backlogged on the Tracker. So I'm getting more willing to let stuff through that can be improved later. Steve (22 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Modelise inner details or use more standard primitives ?

(...) There was this unofficial generic rule that details smaller than 1 LDU may be omitted. I don't know if it is still valid. Another good rule, always valid, is common sense... :o) /Tore (22 years ago, 22-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Modelise inner details or use more standard primitives ?
