  Re: Bad links to homepage.mac.com

FYI: there is a 10.2.3 update. OpenGL is updated to 1.4 in this release. Has anyone else updated and tried LdGLite? I haven't installed it and don't plan to until next week (by then www.macfixit.com should have a good list of problems associated (...)   Re: What's up with box3#8.dat? (was: BFC parts with BFC-less primitives)

(...) Yes - I think the original intent of # was 'in two parallel groups'. How about '='? That will work in a URL. It is almost like two '-'s. Chris (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  New Part: 3622p03.dat - Brick 1 x 3 with Radio Pattern  [DAT]

I will not attempt to officialize this part, since I don't even own it. Dat file is made from a picture on Peeron.com. /Tore 0 Brick 1 x 3 with Radio Pattern 0 Name: 3622p03.dat 0 Author: Tore Eriksson 0 Unofficial Part 0 BFC NOCERTIFY 1 16 10 4 0 1 (...)   Re: What's up with box3#8.dat? (was: BFC parts with BFC-less primitives)

(...) You R-ed C, Chris. Althought is't more correct to say that the missing edges are not *all* adjacent. But I'm a bit afraid that the dash and underscore charcters are to similar and could easely lead to confusion. Are there any other acceptable (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: What's up with box3#8.dat? (was: BFC parts with BFC-less primitives)

(...) Manfred Moolhuysen developed this naming convention and posted (probably to the old lcad list) in May 1998, but I cannot locate a copy right now. IIRC the # was intended to indicate that the missing edges were not adjacent (which is what the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Large LDraw/MPD Files?

(...) Why is it that MLCad isn't appropriate for large models? Does it take a long time, or will MLCad actually crash? And what is the size limitation? I'm working on a fairly large model - well, it has a large number of parts, though its overall (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: What's up with box3#8.dat? (was: BFC parts with BFC-less primitives)

(...) I'll think about box3-8 or something (box with 3 sides, missing 8 lines) I need a similar primitive with all edges along the three sides. That could be named box3-2 (box with 3 sides, missing 2 lines) Niels (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Large LDraw/MPD Files?

(...) Tore Eriksson has it. A quick search on keyword 'Datsville' revealed his post: (URL) in it he gives the download location: (URL) (319k) With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen. (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Large LDraw/MPD Files?

(...) Dumb question... but where is Datsville hosted right now, and who maintains it? There should be a link on LDraw.org, but there isn't to my knowledge. I'll fix that on a long overdue wave of updates sometime in the relative near future. Thanks! (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Large LDraw/MPD Files?

(...) Datsville is IMHO a HUGE model, with its 2Mb+ and several sub-models used multiple times. MLCAD is out of the question, but L3Lab is acceptable: 6.3-13 seconds, depending on zoom factor and other preferences. No problem with L3P, but I haven't (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)
