More to the point, the identifier 'frame_number' can be used. This is straight from the documentation: frame_number If you rather want to define the action in POV-Ray animated scenes depending upon the integer frame numbers, this identifier can be (...) (...) Adding on to my nitpickiness: I think Dan was writing from the perspective of the PT code, which treats the line feed character as the terminator, and the carriage return as just an odd character at the end of the line of text... Steve (22 years ago, 23-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad)
