Re: What about BFC-ing studs? (was: Two questions on primitives)

(...) Sorry, I got distracted. I'll get back to BFC'ing and submitting those primitives. [snip] (...) You're working on an incorrect assumption here. Reflecting a subfile (ie, negating the multipliers for one dimension) will not invert the subfile. (...)   Re: Duplo Easter egg parts?

(...) If you can give me the geometric descriptions (ie, the POV-Ray files), I could translate into LDraw code. Steve (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New Part: x192.dat - Minifig Shield Round

(...) This is not an easy piece to begin with. You have the right to be proud. Great job! (...) Does it say LEGO inside the stud? If so, you should use the stud2.dat primitive. /Tore (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Help with MLCad

Ahui, can I add or suggest a couple of changes to this. I've put them inline where they're appropriate. I've written them as detailed as I think they'd need to be for a new user - I know you don't need help with this, but it might help out Pat. Dan (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: GPF on manual zoom in MLCad 2.11

(...) I read through the back issues of this group before posting and got the impression that the crash being fixed was a different one than one related to zoom.   Re: Help with MLCad

Hello Pat, I'm the LDraw Help Desk Coordinator. Let me give you a quick overview of what LDraw is. It is a 'CAD'-like program that allows you to create brick-type models. The ONLY brick we ENDORSE is LEGO although the piece format can be used for (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Help with MLCad

I am extremely new to this whole LDRAW experience. When I first start up MLCAD from inside the C:/LDRAW directory, I get three or four error messages saying that "####.dat (where #### is any number) not found! Continue loading?" This also happens (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad)

2way to 1way rotary motion  [DAT]

To better illustrate the conversion of 2 way motion I have uploaded a .dat file I did't create this .dat, but I did build from it and the model is compact and works well.   Re: New Part: x192.dat - Minifig Shield Round

When I downloaded this part, I can see that Lugnet's DAT download truncated the lines to 80 characters. This totally mangled the part. Is this a weakness of the Lugnet interface, or is it enforcing a standard? In other words, are part file lines (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

GPF on manual zoom in MLCad 2.11

I have a fairly complex model as an MPD I am working on with lots of submodels, and when I have it set to "draw to current part", I am experiencing GPFs (or mysterious terminations) of MLCad 2.11 when I use manual zoom. I will be zooming in or out, (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Mac OS 9 - ldglite crashing, more info

OK, it will probably take me a day or three to get all of this done. What do you mean "by turning on the debugging symbols in CW?   Re: Mac OS 9 - ldglite crashing, more info

(...) Install macsbug. When it crashes, type 'stdlog'. That will create a log file called 'stdlog' (on the desktop on this machine). Then type 'es' to get out of the app that crashed. Sometimes if things are really hosed, you may have to type 'rs' (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Mac OS 9 - ldglite crashing, more info

OK, so I finally was able to do some tests on what I posted about earlier (ldglite on Mac OS 9 crashing with lowercase files). Well, lower case isn't why it was crashing.   What about BFC-ing studs? (was: Two questions on primitives)

(...) Okay... if this is the case, then what's the status on bringing the less-primitive primitives into BFC certification? Take studs for example. Studs strike me as a great candidate for getting BFC'd because of the potentially huge payoff. Of (...)
