Just so everyone knows this is the NEW DivX4.12 version of the Codec. I'm sure many of you DO NOT have this one installed yet on your systems. If you have DivX4.11 installed you must first UNISTALL this version BEFORE you install Ver 4.12 otherwise (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

A few notes on compiling it from the source: I had to copy the libpng debug files *after* the zlib debug files to get it to link because the zlib files overwrote vc60.something that it seemed to need. (...) I prefer a regular update, on a month base or so. This has some advantages, as some parts will be faster released than on a volume base, and the files to download will be also less large than on a volume base. Anyhow, every method has his pro (...)
