  Re: Known bugs on the site and how to report new ones

(...) I don't think this has been reported yet (I think the page is pretty new). On this page (URL) are asked to select an operating system, and given three choices. Should DOS be there too?   Re: JAVA - Viewer for dat-Files

(...) Yes. A a .DAT or .LDR viewer in an applet would be helpful for quickly viewing parts too new/unexamined for Partsref (or parts, such as minfig heads, that are too small in Partsref to really examine). It would especially be useful for users (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: JAVA - Viewer for dat-Files

(...) I would like to see this make the leap from applet to application so that it has file-saving priveleges. Then I would like to see it have editing ability! Multi-platform is good. Java is good. -- Thanks: James Reynolds (URL) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: A couple of tutorial items (Was: Known bugs on the site and how to report new ones)

(...) One such example is if I were creating building instructions for a mecha and wanted to focus on the left foot for a particular step. I think it's pretty well established that a true orthographic projection makes for the easiest to understand (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: A couple of tutorial items (Was: Known bugs on the site and how to report new ones)

(...) Please don't get angry, because these are just suggestions, but... Actually what I think this shows is that there really *are* people out there who would like a -co option on the command line to automatically uncomment the orthographic (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: YATA Selling MOC Instructions...

Bram, I think the image you presented is very nice, and you gave a very interesting tutorial on creating it. Great stuff! I think this method has some very interesting properties, compared with using ldglite (What is the correct capitalization? (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: mesh object transition for animation in Pov-Ray question

(...) This has the side-effect that all uses of 3649 will rotate the same. It's better to do like Bram suggested: object { _3649_dot_dat rotate <0, 0, clock*30> matrix <0,1,0,-1,0,0,0,0,1,0,-59,-20> #if (version >= 3.1) material #else texture #end { (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: A couple of tutorial items (Was: Known bugs on the site and how to report new ones)

(...) I don't know when Jonathan Knudsen wrote his tutotial, but the camera angle option -ca has been there since January 1999. (URL) or he just overlooked it. In stead of uncommenting the orthographic keyword, it's better to use e.g. -ca1. The (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
